Went to her fish and chips last week but as I arrived I was disgusted at how an older man working there (presume manager or owner) was talking to a young female employee, she looked extremely intimidated by him. I won't spend my money anywhere that believes it's OK to speak to others like that trying to belittle and scare them. I would recommend people to avoid, there are plenty of amazing places to eat in Halifax that don't mistreat their staff.

This place is so much better to eat in as the fish and chips are straight from fryer on to your table. This service is available with the upper level restaurant. The fish and chips taste nice and plenty of condiments. Just go for the standard fish and chips. I tried the jumbo and at an extra cost of nearly £3 was given 10 slices of toast, 5 white and 5 brown. I was expecting a larger fish rather than a loaf of bread 😬😬.

I was working away in Halifax so I thought I would try the one and only chippy. Big mistake, chips stone cold with over cooked fish. I paid £10.85 meal deal so this included peas and a can of pop. P.s I went in bang on 12pm so no reason for cold hard chip.

It's nearly 50 years since I was last in Pearson's when my family had the business and then sold it to the Costa's. The restaurant has certainly expanded over the adjoining property. The fish and chips were very good, piping hot. Good service.

PEARSON’s is the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. My wife, my daughter, and I were looking around for such a place. It is our first experience here in the UK. The fish and chips had great flavor and AMAZING crunch. But really, I think the crispiness of the fish is what makes the fish so good and yummy. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try this kind of food.
