Premier Inn Halifax Town Centre hotel

We have stayed many times. The hotel side other than not registering in the system that we had paid for an early check-in was fine as usual. Another minor issue was great difficulty unplugging the sink basin. However, we were greatly saddened by breakfast time. Despite pre-booking, upon arrival we were told that there was no table and we would have to either wait 45 minutes or accept a refund. We told them we’d wait. The manager in the background rather than talk to us directly then relayed to the waiter to tell us, in fact due to a party that there was no guarantee we’d receive a breakfast. There was clearly a ‘it is what it is’ attitude and we obviously weren’t wanted there despite our pre-order. Great mismanagement and lack of priority given to hotel guests who’ve pre-paid for breakfast. This greatly soured our whole experience. As well as a refund we should be compensated as we booked the stay on the basis we’d receive breakfast. Just to add, the evening before we had a great meal with family in the restaurant. Clearly breakfast management and priorities needs sorting.

Spent 2 days here. Good location, friendly staff, room spotless. Very comfy bed. Air con/heater set to minimum 19 degrees which we found too hot for sleeping. Over-bath, deluge-only shower not the nicest. Breakfast was the usual good quality but most items were served barely lukewarm.

Chap on reception , run off his feet all day because auto check in was down. He actually did a fab job and was very calm and respectful deal8ng with clients. Unfortunately he was let down by management who don't seem to care. Vending machines were out of order but no signs telling people so people buttoned in and no way of getting it back. Sort this out management, it's a joke

Late night/last minute booking - came up as the most reasonable option (nearly half the price of the one near the hospital) and only a short walk into town. No-one at the desk when I got in so had to wrestle with the self-checkin tablet/station - seemed to want to time out far too quickly and missed the prompt to hold the key card to activate so could definitely improve it's usability - thankfully the receptionist came back just after so was able to get in. Room was good quality as always with Premier Inn, very modern and clean. Didn't go for the breakfast as I had an early start the next day.

Travelled from Belfast to stay for a concert at The Piece Hall. Really great location for this purpose and value for money. Nice staff, clean rooms with required amenities (minus an iron). Downside for us was that the vending machine for drinks was out of order, especially as we got back from the concert late and many shops nearby were closed.
