53 minutes past appointment time of 16:30 and still waiting (add another 13 minutes to it - I arrived earlier from school run to be on the safe side straight to surgery without dropping my younger kid to home). My kids still in the car after school and my daughter awaiting the doctor to call her for a consultation. Despite i had a telephonic chat with the doctor the day before yesterday and I was offered the last available appointment due to school timings which was very nice of her. However, that doesn't mean that you make us wait till you start closing the surgery. Every single patient has been complaining about the waiting time. Every single patient has been seen even those who arrived after us. Pathetic service - if you cannot adhere to the timings, better schedule for a later time/date. If we are 6-9 minutes late, the doctor won't see us - now what when the dr is 53 minutes late? I asked the receptionist Haleema twice if its running too late then please reschedule so my kids can go home after school to which she responded that she has sent dr aqsua a message and it won't be long. She is checking a patient and its your turn afterwards. I however realised when we were called in that she consulted another patient (an old lady) before us who actually came after us (I didn't know the dr so it all came to light when she called daughter's name which was contradictory to what we were told earlier - you're the next). Upon complaining to dr aqsua as a satire that you have a very quick service, she had no answer and blamed me stating I am distressing her by telling how long we have been waiting and that she is working under clinical pressure, at which point, I asked her to continue consulting my daughter as she was behaving rudely. She instead blamed me again stating its causing CLINICAL DISTRESS to her and advised that she should call someone else to her defence knowing she wasn't a capable enough dr and can't even apologize. Dr Arif attended and agreed that she is under distress - well take some time off work if you cannot work and get distressed by your own doings, also learn some manners on how to speak and at least apologize for your shortcomings. We were then seen by Dr Loh - a gem of a person in terms of manners and jolly nature at least, and made my 5 year old at ease who has been waiting for over an hour and a half by then along with my daughter and elder son. I wonder how nhs allows such practices to operate. I requested details of complaint procedure from the receptionist which she explained. And oh yes - I also asked her at the same time with Df Arif present if my behaviour was distressing in any way to which she clearly responded No. Its the dr aqsua who distressed me and my kids - my daughter went to the arrival logging screen several times stating it might tell her how long to wait. Pathetic and lousy GP practice with dr aqsua having no manners.
I am only giving this 5 stars because Beth who works on reception has gone above and beyond for my son who has had major trauma surgery, i needed help with district nurses etc and Beth said you leave the surgery i can sit on hold and ring you back and sure enough she did,not only once but twice, what a lovely member of the reception team she is.
I have been with this practice since Dr. Lord gave my baby jabs 45 yrs ago although a different premisebsas this place wasnt built then. I phoned at 8.02am. I pressed 8 for a callback. I received said callback at 8.26am and offered an appointment for 5.30pm. Excellent reception service and the same efficiency upon my arrival. I saw Dr Cleasby who was fantastic. Admittedly, I try to avoid the Docs, and don't see too many, but this man is hands down the nicest medical professional I have met. Genuine and down to earth. Many thanks
Diabolical service. The use of Patches is a way for them to hide behind technology and ignore their patients. Cannot get through by phone for love nor money. Now that nearly every surgery in Halifax is part of this awful Springhall group, you cannot get away from them. I was told they had no appointments today and my request was closed. So you just have to start all over again the next day. I feel for the elderly that have to navigate this ridiculous system.
I cannot commend Rosegarth Surgery highly enough. I have had excellent service from every member of staff. The doctors are excellent and the admin staff are always helpful and courteous. HOWEVER, during the last 16 months of the pandemic, the prolonged wait for the phone to be answered and then an even longer wait to speak to a receptionist has been, and is, trying to say the least. Over an hour is not unusual! Is it please possible to start trying to make the experience a little more user-friendly now that restrictions are a little lighter than they were. I do understand that the precautions that have been taken by the Practice are there to safeguard staff and patients alike and I applaud that. But, please, please, for the sake of the sanity of your patients, can the precautions be eased a little. Many thanks for your underdstanding.
