A good store now getting used to the new layout. Not all makes sense. Shame not a proper cafe and no deli.or fish etc. As a single person prefer to buy a smaller quantity than pre packed. And I like my bacon and ham thicker Another gripe is people that park in the electric charging bays when not charging or electric cars. Even seeing it in the blue bays as well going by the amount of no badges shown Staff in general all very good and helpful. Many prices are less than Aldi and Costco
Absolutely appalling. The customer toilets are a disgrace (I can't speak for the ladies) - one cubicle was closed, and the other one was unfit for human use - I've seen cleaner cat-litter trays, and it's been like this since before Christmas. The aisles are blocked with cages of empty packaging, half of the fridges were empty and most of the stuff I needed was out of stock! It's B&M or Aldi for me in future!
The layout is bizarre with no real sensible flow between categories. The fridge doors would be fine but the aisles are quite narrow making it difficult to see what’s inside from afar. The bread aisle feels really randomly placed. Staff are great it really is just the awful layout that causes issues.
As a long time shopper here (every Sunday for the past 15+ years) the renovation that is currently underway has completely ruined what once was a good and reliable outlet. The new lights that've been installed are hostile and abrasive, extremely unfriendly for anyone with sight issues. I experience light sensitivity and cannot go in without getting a headache and eye ache now, my mother with glaucoma now has to rely on shopping with others because she can't NOT wear sunglasses when in here now. The new fridges are dark and lit at the front which is awful when the harsh overhead lights create an additional glare and reflection. Whilst they're still currently moving items around at the time of this review, certain items that have already found their new home are in complex and convoluted places. Why is the meat with the veg? And why have they placed them there when the fridge can't even fit all of it? Half of the meat is on the next aisle... Whether this renovation has come about due to an inexperienced higher up or what they assume is making a better shopping experience, what they've actually done is create a very unfriendly and disorganised shopping experience. Since they started this, our family have consistently gone from spending £150-£200 a week in here to under £100 everytime due to not being able to find items, items not being in stock, or even worse, items being in such confusing places that we don't ever want to go back on ourselves. For our health, we cannot continue shopping here anymore. (Worth noting- this is absolutely not the staffs fault, the staff at this store are incredible. They've been nothing but helpful, friendly, and upbeat during this rough change. So thank you for that.)
The new layout is very badly designed. Lighting is very poor in the new displays and very badly laid out . To make it even worse my club card app wouldn't work yet again today and I was told I had to pay full price for all my items . I have a screenshot of my qr code which I had to do before as the app was asking me to reset my password. I was told I can't use the screenshot and would have to go outside to reset the app again. In the last 2 shops I've had to pay £22 altogether extra for items that should of been reduced . Just a little update. Actually had my app working for once today and still ended up paying full price . Bought some pasties and microwave meals for work . Was charged full price totalling £ 18 which with clubcard should of been £12.10. When i told the staff I was told these must not be on offer. I showed them the yellow club card offer labels and all that she said was. , " ooh yes I better let somone know." . But I still had to pay full or embarrassingly put the items back yet again!!! I know it's not a lot of money but thats now over £27 extra on items that should of been on offer.
