Lower Wensleydale Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite

Lovely site. Near to Leyburn to walk there either by the road or cross country following a path. Fairly quiet and peaceful site. Only one toilet block which was not a problem to us. Well situated bins grey and black water drop offs. White water and bins for general and recycling waste. Some of the pitches are not level so levelers is a must! Staff are great and a pub close by but Cash Only and no food!

Upon arrival, a member of staff came out to complete check in without us even having to leave the car! We were given an option of 5 pitches to choose from which was nice to be given a choice. As it was a Friday, all the pitches were quite short in length though and we just fit our Bailey lengthwise on the pitch. There were a lot bigger pitches but these had all been taken. There are lots of service points dotted around the site which made it easy to get water, and recycle. The toilet block however was very dated and is in need of updating. It was kept clean throughout our stay though. Location wise it is great for visiting various places around the Yorkshire Dales, and for avid steam train enthusiasts, you can watch the trains go alongside the campsite! Overall we had a peaceful couple of nights stay here.

A unique quiet, friendly, campsite. All staff members were welcoming and helpful. Facilities are dated but immaculate. Pitches are gravel, well kept and near level. Will definitely use again.

Beautiful site very quiet and very well kept all staff are very friendly and helpful all pitches are well laid out with plenty of room and private. Toilet and shower block clean and fresh .the road in can be tight to some. but I never encountered any problem with my 7.2meter caravan + 4x4 pickup would definitely come again

Lovely site close to Leyburn and at the heart of Wensleydale. We were given a really friendly wekcome and were able to choose our pitch there weren't many available as it was the bank holiday weekend and also the Wensleydale show. The site has some nice pitches and one facility block in the middle. The facilities are a little dated however they are kept really clean and the water is very hot and it didn't seem that busy either. There is a chemical toilet area, laundry and dishwashing too. A small dog field is also on site. There is a footpath to leave the campsite over the railway line. A short 30 minute walk into Leyburn, 20 minute to the Wensleydale Brewery which is well worth a visit. The town has a lot of little shops including a coop, and also a number of pubs. A great location for walking
