Over & Above

Absolutely exceptional experience for our first visit on New Years Eve. We booked the NYE party ‘ticket’ at £25 a head, but were slightly apprehensive after seeing they were also advertising walk ins all night at no cost - however we needn’t have worried. We were greeted with a warm welcome and an allocated table, the staff were absolutely exceptional all night with smiles and high energy - I would never have guessed they’d already worked a full day (which I saw on another review!). We received a glass of champagne and nibbles with our ticket which arrived promptly before midnight for us to celebrate with. Walk ins were directed upstairs only leaving plenty of space and tables for those who had booked ahead - this really went above and beyond what we had expected as they could have taken a lot more walk ins had they filled our room too, but prioritised customer experience and it really paid off. This is the best New Year’s Eve I have ever had in Harrogate, I can’t put into words what a wonderful atmosphere they created - I really hope they do the same again next year as we would definitely pay for a table again! The cocktails speak for themselves but truly incredible. The barman (and I believe owner) was hands down the best I have ever seen. Thank you (also the best Guinness in Harrogate too!)

The name says it all!!! They went over and above with everything. The cocktails were phenomenal - Rich is an incredibly skilled bartender. The service was 10/10 from everyone.. the little added extras just made our night. Thank you for such a brilliant experience. We’ll be back ASAP!

One of the best, if not the best, cocktail bars in the UK. The drinks are incredible and so unique. The staff are all amazing. Im obsessed! I will be back and I will be telling everyone I know to go!!

Cocktail class was a great laugh, host was fab! Couldn’t recommend it enough and we can’t wait to get together again here soon! Followed by evening drinks! Great place, atmosphere and drinks. Highly recommend.

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe this place. After figuring out the hidden entrance (I won’t give it away) I was blown away by the ambience of this cool, speakeasy bar. Souled filled funky vibe without being pretentious is hard to find but this place just gets everything right. The staff are attentive and welcoming whilst simultaneously shaking drinks to serve their intimate but lively crowd. And I’ve not even started on the drinks. The technical flair brought to well known cocktails was outstanding. A salty foam on the best margarita I’ve ever had was mouthwatering. We went pre dinner and post dinner both having different vibes that are more than worth experiencing. All at excellent value for money. I challenge you to find a better Old Fashioned. It’s worth visiting for the ice alone. If Michelin starred bars this would be up there. Highly recommend.
