<p><strong>Senior Employee Relations Advisor</strong></p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Flexible base, supporting Northern England</p> <p>Do you love Employee Relations and helping people?</p> <p>We’re looking for a <strong>Senior Employee Relations Advisor</strong> to join our collaborative and supportive HR team. In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring a high standard of service across our business.</p> <strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong> <ul> <li>Delivering a legally compliant, value-added advisory service to managers on all people management matters.</li><li>Supporting managers with HR activities, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, performance, and reward.</li><li>Advising on HR policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of employment law and best practices.</li><li>Acting as the escalation point for complex case management.</li><li>Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and strategies.</li><li>Managing and responding to HR queries within the team.</li><li>Supporting organisational change initiatives, including TUPE transfers and redundancy consultations.</li><li>Monitoring and reporting on employee relations trends and case activity.</li><li>Maintaining accurate colleague data in HR and payroll systems.</li><li>Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.</li><li>Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, learning and development, and offboarding.</li><li>Collaborating with the HR Leadership Team on key projects and initiatives.</li><li>Travelling to sites and branches as required.</li></ul> <strong>What we’re looking for</strong> <ul> <li>Proven experience managing a wide range of employee relations casework.</li><li>Experience supporting change management processes, including TUPE and redundancy.</li><li>Background in supporting a customer-facing, geographically dispersed workforce.</li><li>Experience preparing for and responding to Employment Tribunal cases.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.</li><li>Ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organisation.</li><li>High levels of resilience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.</li><li>Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.</li><li>CIPD qualification (or working towards/willing to study).</li></ul> <strong>What’s in it for you?</strong> <ul> <li>Competitive salary</li><li>24 days annual leave plus bank holidays</li><li>Company attendance and performance bonuses</li><li>Contributory pension&nbsp;and<strong> life assurance</strong></li><li>Discounts<strong></strong>on<strong></strong>high street retailers, supermarkets, restaurants, gyms and cinemas</li><li>Colleague discount&nbsp;across our group brands</li><li>Attraction and travel discounts</li><li>Training and development&nbsp;programmes to support your growth</li></ul> <strong>About Us</strong> <p>If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a DIY project, chances are you’ve heard of the <strong>Huws Gray Group</strong>.
