<p>We are currently seeking a highly motivated, intelligent and personable candidate to join this friendly team as a Legal Administrator working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.</p> <p>We are looking for an organised, proactive <strong>Legal Assistant/Secretary</strong> to support Lawyers within this busy Family Law practice. This is a varied role requiring excellent communication, strong IT skills, and a professional, client-focused approach.</p> <p>Excellent benefits including death in service, sickness insurance and 25 days holiday plus your birthday off and closure between Christmas and New Year.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide day-to-day administrative support to solicitors, helping them meet deadlines and billable targets.</li><li>Manage client files: opening, maintaining, updating compliance records, and closing/archiving in line with procedures.</li><li>Assist in the production of legal documents, such as bundles (including e-bundles). Proofread and format check.</li><li>Liaise with clients, solicitors, courts, and third parties; make calls, take messages, and provide updates.</li><li>Organise diaries, meetings, travel arrangements, and prepare follow-up notes.</li><li>Assist with legal processes such as searches, preparing schedules, analysing documents, and attending hearings for note-taking (when required).</li><li>Greet clients, prepare meeting rooms, handle post, deliveries, photocopying, and general office duties.</li><li>Manage billing tasks including preparing draft bills, handling payments, and monitoring money on account.</li><li>Maintain accurate time records, manage workloads effectively, and meet agreed timescales.</li><li>Work professionally and confidentially, following all compliance, AML, diversity, and security procedures.</li><li>Use key software including Outlook, Word, Excel, digital dictation, LEAP, and internal systems.</li><li>Provide excellent client care and ensure records are accurate and up to date.</li><li>Participate in team support, share knowledge, and help cover colleague absence.</li><li>Take responsibility for ongoing training, development, and improving personal performance.</li></ul> <p>Training will be given on all aspects of the role. Legal experience will be an advantage. There is a buddy system within a friendly team of Legal Assistants.</p> <p>COG LTD are acting as an Employment Agency.</p>
