Highly recommend Rubie Rae. Thank-you so much for my engagement ring, it’s absolutely stunning. I love the design and it was a complete surprise when Ian proposed to me with it in NYC. I love the marquise shape and the side stones which add extra sparkle and light to the main stone. I understand you went the extra mile to get the ring to Ian before we left for our holiday and I know he appreciated your help with this and the design. I also asked Rubie Rae to redesign a ring for my daughter, Claudia. After her Grandmother passed away she left her engagement ring to Claudia which had become very fragile over the years and needed strengthening. Claudia wanted to retain the design of the original ring for sentimental reasons but to change the yellow gold for platinum. Claudia and I are both delighted with the result and it looks like a completely new ring. The artwork we received from Mel was great when helping to decide our options. I contacted Rubie Rae as my nan had gifted me two of her wedding anniversary rings, following the passing of my grandad. Both were opal, and gold which isn’t my thing, and fairly old fashioned designs. Mel sent me hand drawn designs for the main ring, making it very difficult to decide what to get! As this ring had the best opals, I chose to have them side by side on a simple band, originally in white gold but we opted for platinum as it lasted longer and wasn’t massively different in price. I also asked for the other ring to be plated so it would be silver. We said there was no rush, but they were done in a few weeks. We were also aware that due to opals being soft, there was a possibility they could be damaged. Well we were so impressed with the finished product, that I asked Mel if we could do something with the tiny left over diamond that we hadn’t utilised for the new ring. Mel suggested putting it in my chain and possibly in a little star design. So I agreed and gave her my chain which I have worn for the past 18 years, and she said she would get it back to me ASAP. When it came back it was shiny, polished, neatened up and with my grandma’s diamond inside. Next up was one of my grandad’s rings, given to my partner. They were able to add more silver in to make a much bigger ring to fit his hands, as well as polished it so it looked like new. Having Rubie Rae take care of our jewellery has been the best experience, VERY reasonable on price and poor Mel dropping the pieces off to our house every time! Not to mention, my grandma has said how beautiful every piece has been and its been a great way to honour my grandparents who were married 64 years. Highly recommended and trustworthy

I contacted Robert in November time last year, planning to propose to my partner in March. I had a rough idea of what I wanted, a quite unusual stone and some diamond passed down from my Mother I wanted to incorporate. After a few emails Robert came to meet me and over the course of the next few meetings we decided on a beautiful design and hand picked the perfect stone from a selection, in person. Had I gone to a traditional jewellers I never would have found anything close to what I wanted and the extra sentimental connection with my Mothers diamonds made it extra special. Robert was lightning fast with correspondence through the whole process (much quicker than me!) and took extra time and patience to make sure we got it right, even delivering the finished ring to me much quicker than I expected, forcing me to find a really good hiding spot for a few months! Cannot fault Rubie Rae, the design process was informative and they collaborated with both myself and my husband to ensure the design was exactly what we wanted.
