My family, five of us, had Sunday lunch 18th January 2026. It was absolutely fantastic. Food cooked to perfection with a good variety of vegetables. I had black forest trifle for sweet, fantastic and very moreish. All washed down with a nice pint of lager. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely call here again.
Had a fantastic two meals here over New Year. One an evening dinner and other a New Yearβs Day lunch. On both occasions found the staff to be so welcoming, friendly and helpful. TBH we have been here in past years and found the same. New Year is obviously very stressful and challenging for hospitality and they were brilliant ! Our food was exceptional. A good range, especially for the two vegetarians in our party of six. Photos are of the beautiful beers, some of the food over the two visits and the range fireplace !!!
Stayed here for 3 nights in January 2026, its a really nice place with friendly helpful staff, nice rooms, warm and cosy. The food was really good and lots of it which is perfect after a long walk in the hills, there was a nice warm fire in the bar and dining area. Parking in the main street / market place was no problem and not restricted, 30 sec walk from the door.
Just had a Sunday lunch here today and what a meal it was! Firstly, met with a friendly smile then shown to our table. My wife had the chicken and I had the braised lamb. Both these meals were exceptional !! Fresh good quality produce used and the meat tasted like meat, not like many of the places nowadays. Well done to everyone !!
We came for a meal last night. Lovely cosy pub with a welcoming fire on a cold night. The staff, as usual, were very friendly,. Service excellent and the food delicious. We have been before several times and now feel that no trip to the Dales is complete without a trip to the White Hart!
