Nina is a fabulous host and will try to make you comfortable. The breakfast is hearty. However, the common areas and the room are in need of a clean and tlc. It's ok for 1 night stay after a whole day of hiking to lay your head down.
Lovely place to stay and Nina was a great hostess. Room was tidy and clean and the view from the bathroom window onto the peaks was lovely to wake up to. For a busy day of exploring/walking, fueling up on the full English breakfast was spot on. Would recommend if you looking to stay in Hawes.
Such a lovely place to stay. Home from home! Lovely room which was spotlessly clean. Nina was so welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Fabulous cooked breakfast. Highly recommend. Thank you Nina superb host xx
My wife and I, plus our 2 little boys stayed here on the Pennine Way. Nina made us most welcome and even washed our socks ! The place is lovely and extremely clean. The breakfast was marvellous, and we will return sometime in the future. A great place to stay in Hawes. Fully recommended.
We booked as 2 couples via the previous owners, being told new owners would be taking over. We arrived mid afternoon to a lovely welcome from Nina and Will the golden coloured dog (I am no dog expert lol) and a roaring fire. As it was cold outside this was wonderful. We had a nice chat with Nina before being shown to our rooms. She recommended where we could eat and off we went. We found the beds very comfortable and cosy, nice pillows and sheets, two quilts (which were too hot for hubby) told him to throw one off.... The electric storage heaters did not go off during the night either, which could cause some issues for a peaceful nights sleep for those who like to sleep in cool rooms. The whole place has so much character but also has small issues which Nina is aware of and will rectify as soon as she can. She cooks a fantastic breakfast and we would be sure to stay here again if we were in Hawes..... thank you Nina for your hospitality. 😉
