Shaw Ghyll Caravan and Camping

Lovely quiet campsite. The facilities are always kept clean and fresh. It's in a great location with hawes being a lovely walk or a quick drive away. There is access to walking paths straight off of the campsite to a lovely stroll along the river or to a nice little hike with great views. The owner and wardens are lovely and a great laugh. We have been a couple times now and can not fault the campsite.

Fantastic place to stay, our pitch was nice and flat with a river at the back. The owners are really friendly and helpful, the facilities are modern and clean. The wildlife on the park is amazing, saw Red Squirrels every day and about 20 different species of bird. We didn't have to drive off site as there are many different walks to try straight of the park.

I love this little campsite🫶 and always look forward to returning. John & Sue the on-site wardens are so friendly and helpful. The campsite and facilities are well maintained to a high standard. A great location for walking, wildlife, waterfalls and Hawes village is close hosting a variety of shops, pubs and a great fish & chip shop! 😁 👍

We had a great stay at this campsite. It was our first stop off for the maiden voyage in our partially converted camper as we headed for Scotland. The site warden was quick to appear and was very friendly and helpful. The site seemed to have a lot of caravans and vehicles on it but was sooooo quiet. It was great. Don't forget some 50p coins for the shower, but we had a lovely stay here 👍👍

We stayed here for 2 nights. Brilliant site with good facilities . Wonderful scenery and beautiful walks from the campsite.We walked from the site along shaw Ghyll woods. I really enjoyed seeing the waterfall’s. We visited the Green Dragon inn with its beautiful flagstone floor’s and open fire and a waterfall behind it.We also did a lovely walk to Hawes with wonderful views. On returning we had jets roaring above us. What a lovely way to spend time in a great place.
