The Owl Hawnby

One of my favourite pubs. Hawnby is a beautiful little village and this pub fits the bill just nicely. I've been here many times, never to stay (yet) but often for a pint and food - both of which have been superb; the beer is great and the choice and quality of food is excellent. On a perfectly clear day there's nowhere like the view from the tables across the village and across the valleys to the east - it's just perfect.

Me and my partner had lunch at 2.30 today. I cannot praise them enough.the service was above and beyond. The food was cooked to perfection. So tasty and fresh and hot.Great wine.Cannot wait to go back.

Absolutely beautiful location, the terrace has gorgeous views. We arrived for lunch about 20 mins after they had stopped serving however the lovely woman behind the bar came out to tell us she'd talked the chef into feeding us. We ordered from the bar menu and we're so pleased we stayed, the food was amazing. We can't wait to come back to try out the full menu.

Fantastic inn located in a quiet and beautiful village. We dropped in on a walk with our two dogs and daughter and sat out on the terrace. Fantastic views over the village and valley. Service and food was great. Didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms but the interior was nice.

I have only drunk here with friends, and cannot comment on the accommodation. However, it is a lovely location, perfect for walking around Hawnby, and serves a couple of good beers. Plenty of outdoor seating, an excellent place to relax in summer.
