Ordered on Just Eat, waited about 45 mins for food which was fine until I actually tried the food I’d spent so long waiting for. I ordered duck in ginger and something else sauce, the duck was so overcooked it was like tough beef rather than the soft juicy duck it should have been. The sauce had absolutely no taste. I ordered some of the spare ribs that cost £8, expecting to get like 4 or 5 decent sized ribs in barbecue sauce. Instead I got 6 tiny pieces and I’m talking as if they’ve taken a couple of ribs and just cut them into tiny pieces. Didn’t have a barbecue sauce on or a typical sauce spare ribs would have, they were extremely salty to the point I had to spit them out. Now for £8 that’s a joke to be honest. I wasn’t expecting the world’s best ribs but I was expecting to have similar/same quality to other Chinese restaurants I’ve eaten from. Disappointed. Ordered some curry sauce that came in at a whopping £3.50 but I thought why not, it’s mine and my families treat because we don’t eat takeout often. It was incredibly spicy, had a really weird taste and came incredibly lumpy and it wasn’t even warm, it was cold. Yet the other sauce we got was piping hot, wasn’t spicy(which they said it was on the app)and tasted far better. The chicken balls, not entirely impressed. Had some really mushy batter on it, but they aren’t the worst of the meal. The chips were dry and unusually discoloured and I don’t know how that’s possible. The only good dish from this meal was the egg fried rice, came piping hot and wasn’t too salty, but it had flavour. I’m sorry but how is the rice better than all of these things combined? To top it off, I think it’s given me food poisoning. Totally feel disgusted and won’t be ordering from here again. I recommend you go elsewhere.
Second visit here yesterday and all I can say it the food is fabulous. We had a chicken chow mein and crispy sweet and shower chicken with egg fried rice. So so yummy. Loads of sauce, fresh crunchy veg and cooked beautfully. Very very tasty and we will be back to try other dishes on the menu.
Here’s a polished version of your review that keeps the strong message but adds clarity and flow—while still packing a punch: --- ⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely appalling experience—avoid at all costs. Ordered via Just Eat and waited over an hour, glued to my phone for a call or the sound of the doorbell. Neither came. When I phoned the takeaway, I was told the driver was “just setting off”—despite the app saying it had already been delivered. I waited another 20 minutes. Still nothing. Called again and was met with rude, dismissive comments. When I asked why there was no call or doorbell ring, I was told Just Eat had the wrong number and that a code was needed. Fair enough—but when I asked why they didn’t buzz, I got the bizarre excuse: “We don’t buzz because we don’t want to disturb people.” How exactly was I supposed to receive my food? I even offered to collect it myself, but was told the order was being cancelled. At this point, it was clear the food was never made and they were just covering up a mistake. Later, I called to ask about my refund and was told—shockingly—that it was my fault and I wouldn’t be getting one. I’ll be disputing this with Just Eat and hoping for a refund. Zero customer service, zero accountability. Don’t touch this place—read the reviews and save yourself a headache
The worst experience I have ever had. We ordered three dishes with a 45 min wait. The delivery app stated the order was delivered after more than an hour and a half, however the food never came. I called the restaurant to politely ask for an update, he made up an excuse and stated the delivery driver was just about to set off even though the app stated it had been delivered. I waited a further half an hour and still no order arrived. I called up again and the man on the phone was rude, abusive and totally unprofessional stating it must have been a fault on my end and not to bother waiting for the order as he was going to cancel it. It was clear they made a mistake and never made the food, and when asked why we weren’t contacted or even the address knocked on, they made up excuses, lied and said they had. The worst customer service. Do not order from here.
I am not reviewer, but this time it is worth it. Stopped by for the first time, even if I work next door, was agreed with really clean and tidy atmosphere which followed with even more perfect Chinese food. Me and my partner were amazed. One of the best tastes if not the best.. Will definitely be back, thank you chefs! 🙏 and good luck 🫂🤗
