Statue of former PM (1834-1835, 1841-1846), which was under petition to be removed in 2020 and has been the site of protests against increasing police powers as in 2021. Credited as the founder of modern policing and majorly criticised for the slow response to the Great Famine. Did manage to successfully move against land owners to repeal the Corn Laws.
A really interesting sculpture that is an interesting spot to visit and learn about the history of the city.
You often get dossers hanging around here, shouting abuse at passers by. Stinking of weed.
