I arrived 10 minutes before my appointed time and Gemma let me in early and was very welcoming and helpful. She took my blood sample with absolutely no pain felt and I left just a few minutes later. Thankyou, I couldn't ask for better service. Robert Boothby.
Unhelpful - needed some help with my 82 year old mum’s blue badge confirming her stroke but they wanted her to do it herself or wanted me to travel 50+ miles as I live away to collect a form so they can speak to me. Of course I understand confidentiality etc but my mum has no use of her arm and limited in the other arm and cannot walk without someone with her so I asked if they could ring her but they wouldn’t. My mum would struggle to ring them herself. It’s really stressful as it is and they didn’t have any compassion at all. Just making helping your parent even harder.
The new on line booking system is excellent. It was so simple to book an appointment. Thank you. Just one observation - it would have been useful to have been able to include a few of my own words as well as selecting the appropriate option from the ‘on line questions’. Regards Jean Edwards
The whole service is much improved. I rang up with a chest infection at 8.00 am and went in the queue for a call back which came 30 mins later. I got an appointment that day for 12.10 pm and had my meds from the pharmacy at market place by 12.30. Job done. If you're always friendly and polite to the staff that is what you get back.
Appalling service. My husband was rang yesterday morning and asked to attend for an appointment at 16:15. He arrived 10 mi s before his allocated time and was told to wait...in an empty waiting room. 40 minutes later, he's still waiting!! He told the receptionist he had to go as he was on night shift. Oh you're next she says so he waits a further 10 mins before leaving. Utterly pointless and a waste of time. What a shambles. Why ask him to come at a certain time if there was no intention of seeing him? If there was a valid reason why the appointment was running late could they have shown some courtesy and told him? Of course not because patients are a nuisance and should be at the beck and call of the surgery. He still needs seeing does he get another appointment to waste his time again or does he have to pay privately? The latter seems to be what the NHS is pushing for.
