We recently had a new gas fire to replace an old power flue gas fire that had finally given up. I got quotes from several places and had found it very hard work! Until I tried Hearth and Home. I had found most places I’d tried wanted me to send measurements, then after giving me a price along with fire options (limited for a balanced flue), wanted a deposit before they would even look at what needed doing. Not so with Greg and John. From the outset it was evident Greg knew exactly what I wanted and talked through the options when he came to look at the fireplace. I had been told that due to a crack in the surround we needed a whole new surround as well by one company. Greg was amused at the upselling and explained we didn’t need a new surround, and he could easily fix the crack. Which he did, and now we can’t even see it. We love the new fire, the installation was seamless. Friendly, reliable and despite all the work needed, very very clean. If you need a new fire I would not waste time and energy shopping around. Hearth and Home were the most competitive, not to mention exceptionally pleasant to deal with. A really lovely family business. Not surprisingly I had a bit of a wait. But they still managed to squeeze the job in earlier than planned. It is 100% worth the wait! I wish I’d done it years ago.

An absolutely fantastic company to deal with from start to finish. Great range of stoves available with brilliant advice from John in the showroom when selecting what would best suit our needs. Greg and the team did an incredible job of installing two stoves in our house including sourcing scaffolding due to the height of our chimneys and recommendations for plastering afterwards. To say there was so much mess and rubble (which is to be expected) created during the project, you would never had known they had been in at all by the time they had tidied up and left. The service provided afterwards when we had questions and concerns was superb as well even after they had left our property. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Absolute pleasure to deal with. From first contact where John helped discuss options as we went back and forth to flexible planning. On fitting day everything was covered to protect it, every one of the team was friendly, approachable, and helpful. Explained everything and got it all fitted quickly whilst being tidy. One chap was a superstar for rescuing a bird trapped in a different fire. They truly were above and beyond. We are getting our next 2 fires from them. Would not hesitate to recommend. Absolutely no complaints at all. Brilliant company with superb customer service. I have high standards and they surpassed them. Update 23/10/2025 Had our 2nd fire done, the team covered everything to keep it clean, hoovered, explained everything and answered all questions. Absolute pleasure to have them in our home as they treat it like they're doing a job for themselves with care, precision and incredibly high standards. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them top marks for customer service,quality and just how comfortable you feel having them in your home. The fire is wonderful with our original red Edwardian tiles.

We had a multi fuel burner fitted at the end of November. On visiting the shop we were given lots of advice but no pressure to buy. On the day it took 5 hours to install, we were really impressed with organised this was and there was no mess! Everyone we dealt with was lovely and knowledgeable and we would recommend Hearth and Home to anyone thinking of having a stove. We are thrilled with the result.

We recently moved home and had a multifuel stove installed by the team at Hearth and Home, and they have been brilliant to us! Extremely knowledgeable, upfront and honest, easy to deal with. With regards to fitting, outstanding attention to detail and extremely tidy work. We also had a structural issue with our fireplace, which needed to be remedied from past dodgy workmanship. They immediately pointed out the chimney breast issue when they came to measure up. A lesser company would've just left the dodgy stuff, whereas H&H took ownership and remediated the issue. Working with a company that takes pride in its quality and treats your home as its own is refreshing. They also were very jolly in all of our interactions.
