Lovely dentist, always very accommodating to your needs and schedule. Seen quickly and staff are lovely. All dentists and dental nurses are lovely! My most recent appointment was with Eve she was nice and thorough and explained everything she was doing/ what she had found really well. She was also just very friendly and good at taking a history/ addressing all your concerns. A great practice :) !

I visited Hurlfield Dental Practice today, very very nervous after not visiting the dentist for many years. I was recommended by a colleague who uses this service. The Dentist was so wonderful she talked me through everything and explained what she was going to do. She completely eased my fears and anxiety. The dentist put a treatment plan in place and I am more than happy to visit again. Thank you so much, I wish I would have visited earlier.

I’ve been a patient for a while at Hurlfield Dental Practice but I was a bit nervous and not at all looking forward to going for my appointment/treatment today but both Mr Shirley and his assistant were very helpful, reassuring me and keeping me calm. As usual I was treated with care and respect.

🦷 Beyond Disappointing Dental Care. Visited on the 26th November 2025. If zero stars were an option, that's what I would award this practice. My experience here was profoundly disappointing, because of the absolutely atrocious front-of-house experience. The Sour-Faced Gatekeeper. The receptionist who has a her hair scraped back and has eaten too many pies. The receptionist is, to put it mildly, the most miserable and sour-faced individual I have ever encountered in a customer-facing role. She functions less as a welcoming professional and more as a reluctant, stone-cold barrier to service. From the moment I approached the desk, it was clear I was an inconvenience. Her demeanour was cold, unwelcoming, and utterly devoid of professional courtesy. Her behaviour towards customers is not just poor—it’s actively detrimental to the business. She manages to communicate a feeling of deep resentment just by existing behind the counter.

Alastair explained very clearly the treatment he suggested I receive and why. It involved a local anaesthetic and a filling. Throughout the whole procedure I felt no pain whatsoever. I am extremely grateful for the treatment I received and the care taken by Alastair and his assistant.
