Absolutely awful. Will not be returning. We came as a group of 6 to meet our grandparents who had arrived early, one of which suffers with early on dementia. As they had arrived early and we’d asked where they had been seated (under the booking name) and was met with a miserable looking, rude and much older woman stating that they had been ‘dosying around’ looking for somewhere to sit. The restraunt was empty. Already a perfect start. Then when ordering we were told that they only could do 3 out of the 6 people at the tables order. Which the items should have been made aware to us at the start that they were out of stock as there was a considerable amount not available. But like i said, the restaurant was empty. Service with a smile? Not at this place. The same woman from before brought out the plates, grunting with every placement. No manners and zero customer service skills. And was also talking to a colleague about personal matters whilst placing our food, while completely ignoring us. We already had an off impression of her from how she was speaking about our elderly grandparents so this just put the cherry on the top. Our grandparents remember going there with us when we were younger and never was they met with such poor service. Plates took ages to be cleared from the table before ordering deserts. This was due to the majority of staff having a coffee and a chat. There was only one gentleman wearing a jumper with longer hair, who seemed to care about our dining experience and was the only one with a smile on his face.
Short stay while visiting friends in hull. All you can eat buffet breakfast £11. Basic meals which were pretty good in the evening. Rooms are very comfortable , clean and a reasonable size. We will stay here again .
Great customer service. Had a late lunch with the family here about 3pm. I had the big Stack Burger, kids had a pizza between them, wife had a flatbread with chicken. Burger was excellent - 2 quarter pounders, slightly smashed, with Monterey Jack cheese, bacon and gherkins. Bun was a brioche bun but had been lightly toasted so it was slightly crunchy on the outside, avoiding the horrible soggy brioche buns you often see elsewhere. Having the burgers slightly smashed meant it was of a good size but not so big I couldn't get it in my mouth. Loaded fries with that were Korean chicken fries - normal skin on fries but with a cut up chicken goujon, some chili peppers and Korean chilli sauce. Wasn't sure what to expect with that as usually loaded fries means there'll be cheese but I think the Korean fries were pretty good. Extra kudos goes to the barmaid who served us - I'd ordered Doom Bar and she'd rung it up before discovering it was off, so I had Guinness instead & she forgave me the difference, which was jolly decent, and also when I asked for 2 plates so my kids could share their pizza, she offered to get it cut in 2 and served up on them, half on each, so I think she deserves a bit of recognition for going the extra mile to make us welcome. Definitely recommend this place. Also the sundaes, which I didn't have but the others in the party did, were reportedly "to die for". Decent sizes, brought over reasonably quickly. Good value for money, good scran.
A great place, really helpful staff and Steph went out her way to help us book our Christmas meal for my group. Looking forward to taking my group there more regularly in 2026 Since I wrote this, we had our meal on the 29th of November and we couldn’t have asked for a better night. Mark and the staff looked after us, the food was great and perfect for 13 of us hungry guys! Definitely going back in 2026!!!
Beautiful place. Lovely clean environment and friendly staff. Great experience, the food portion was fantastic and very well organised and presented. Good value for money. Everyone looked happy to be there. Highly recommended
