I'm leaving this review on behalf of my partner. We contacted Medical Solicitors about a potential case of medical negligence and although in the end we were unable to proceed with a case, over the year and several months they have been nothing but professional, understanding and incredibly thorough. They have absolutely left no stone unturned in trying to pursue the case and every member of the team she has interacted with has been supportive and extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend using their services and can't thank them enough for their efforts.

Case of damage to ureter during laparoscopy to treat endometriosis: - Sarah Johnson of Medical Solicitors York has been nothing short of phenomenal in my medical negligence case. I called up the firm during the height of the pandemic at my absolute lowest point in life due to the negligence that was performed on me. I called up and spoke to Kelly Hunt who again was incredible and has been working alongside Sarah on my legal case for four years. Kelly listened and was patient whilst I tried to express just how difficult my life had been since the negligence and how I felt a sense of desperation and not knowing what else I could do. She passed my case onto Sarah who agreed to take it on. From there, Sarah has been absolute fantastic. My case was very complex and I was amazed that she not only took it on, but fought so hard for me to get what I so rightfully deserved. She had every faith in me when I was so close to giving up due to the distress it was causing, but she never gave up on me or my case and I cannot thank her and the team for doing so. I also would like to mention Sarah Christie-Brown, the barrister assigned to my case who like Sarah (must be power in the name) did not stop fighting until we came to the rightful conclusion of me winning my medical negligence claim. No job was difficult enough for anyone involved on my legal case and have to note that I am also miles away from their offices living in North Wales myself. Sarah had to liase with several different hospitals and NHS trusts to get my records and even with the distance, this was not a patch on the work that went into this case. Sarah Johnson of Medical solicitors in York has been my solicitor for the last 4 years. Since my litigation finished it has taken me some time to be able to write this review, I needed to gather myself and know that I could provide Sarah with the best, like she has done for me. It feels difficult to find the words to give Sarah the recognition that she deserves, no words will be enough to express the gratitude and respect I have for this lady. You might read this and be thinking wow 4 years that’s a long time, too long almost, it felt like that for me at times too. Please take my word on this, there were times in those 4 years that I didn’t feel i could carry on, my advice to anyone would be DONT question it! It took as long as it did for good reason Sarah dealt with a very complex case on my behalf she worked tirelessly throughout, as well as offering me patience, kindness and support from the first phone call to the final meeting, I don’t think all cases take as long as mine did. I don’t doubt that at times this must have felt difficult for her too as I was struggling, she kept me going whilst conducting and maintaining her high level of professionalism, her understanding was faultless throughout, she has an unwavering strength but also holds so much compassion. My individual case took time because it was complex, Sarah had determination to succeed and get the justice she believed that I deserved, she sought out the very best experts in the field of my health conditions and left no stone unturned. Anyone who has or feels that they have been through medical negligence will understand how this affects your trust in others and how it can affect mental health. Sarah was incredible throughout my litigation process, in doing her job as my solicitor and supporting my case, she was also very mindful whilst remaining professional at the state of my mental health and vulnerability, to minimise the stress and anxiety that I struggled with. Sarah is very reliable she kept us updated throughout the process, made herself available if I needed to contact her for anything, she would always respond and offer reassurance when needed. She did her upmost to make sure that deadlines were met and made sure that she was able to pull everything and everyone needed together at the end for the final meeting. I would also like to mention Catherine Ewins of Hailsham Chambers, London is the barrister who Sarah appointed to represent my case, Catherine is also nothing short of incredible within her role, together they are exceptional! My claim was succeeded. Sarah has also been very helpful after the litigation with advice and guidance. I would not hesitate in recommending Sarah Johnson and Medical solicitors from the first initial phone call through to our final meeting she has been nothing other than outstanding, thank you Sarah.

We contacted Medical Solicitors, however this was after the time limitation of 3 years had passed as my mother was too distraught to even consider taking any action at the time.Our Solicitor informed us of a possible extension and was able to pursue the case. My mother was not diagnosed in a timely Manor with Giant cell arteritis which led to her becoming blind literally overnight. Our solicitor Sarah Johnson from the York office has been supportive and outstanding in explaining everything at each point of the process. She is very thorough and empathetic,highly responsive. The experts found who were involved in this case were outstanding. All the staff have been helpful,polite,respectful and have shown empathy and care throughout to both my mother and I. All financial letters,correspondence have been transparent, precise clear and responsive. We are coming to the end of the process and the defendants have admitted causation,it is highly likely my mother will receive a substantial settlement, which will go a long way to help her re-build her life,along with reassurance that lessons have been learned.
