Stamford Bridge

Free parking, toilets, cafes, blokes chilling whilst fishing, a lovely walk back over the viaduct, nice steady few hours then ate the artisan carrot cake once back in my car!

Nice little village with a couple of decent eateries, and a FREE car park. Lovely nature walk along the river to the disused railway viaduct. The battle site itself is underwhelming, accessed through a modern housing estate, and the viewpoint has no view due to high hedges - one for real history buffs only!

A lovely little village with local history. There are a couple of pubs and some local restaurants or takeaways, plus a Co-Op that is well stocked with a good range of items. There is also a decent size free car park. There is a very pleasant walk by the canal with a route that will also take you over the viaduct.

A pretty little town dripping with history. The large car park next to the bridge is free. A few walks and cycle tracks are in the area, including over a nearby viaduct. A few nice tea shops, a couple of pubs and a newly refurbished Co-op. Enjoy!

Brilliant little rest stop. I stop off here every time I'm passing through. Everyone is friendly and the scenery looks like its from a postcard.
