Lovely house in a lovely quiet village with great neighbours. Clean, tidy and surprisingly spacious cottage, well laid out with lots of interesting things in each room. We enjoyed a great stay.

Loved our stay. Quiet , rural location but still able to get to York city centre easily. Great base for exploring Yorkshire. Plenty to see and do in easy reach and nice to have a a comfortable cottage to return to. We loved the quirky decorations too- very well thought out

The cottage is lovely and has everything needed. Very spacious and the kids loved the games room. The owners are very helpful and polite. The cottage is in a great place, we used the park and rides to get to the centre of york about 15 - 20 mins away. Would definitely recommend.

Everything about The Cherries was perfect. The location, facilities and the hosts couldn't have been any better. We had 2 dogs with us and they enjoyed their stay and loved their freedom as the garden was safely enclosed. The cottage was spacious with all needed facilities and full of quirky additions.

A wonderful weekend in a beautiful cottage! The Cherries was perfect for our family of 5 and dog, Brüno. A well equipped cottage with everything you need for a ‘home away from home.’ The comfy beds, great shower and quirky, cosy surroundings were ideal after a busy day exploring Castle Howard and York. The pretty, fully enclosed garden was an added bonus to sit in with a cuppa and unwind. We would highly recommend staying at The Cherries and thank you for a great stay! Sue, Jonathan& Boys.
