Had my first haircut at Mensroom on Saturday with Thomas, what a great experience - I can honestly say I’ve not had as good a haircut in 10yrs plus! As it was my first visit I tried to describe what I wanted but this is always tricky when you go somewhere new, what was impressive was the way Thomas listened and then interpreted my ask, created texture where I asked, hair left where I was thinning (LOL) and a superb end result. Would recommend without hesitation…

I went here today as my usual hairdresser was unexpectedly unwell and so had to cancel my appointment, and I wanted a haircut before I went on holiday. I told the woman cutting my hair that I did not want much cut off, and at one point when cutting the top she asked me how much I wanted cutting off; demonstrating as usual. However, whilst I could not tell how much she was cutting off, when she came to the front I could see what she had done. I may as well have said, "Cut my hair to less than half an inch long and make it stick up". Worst haircut I have ever had in my life, and I am not young. I would just really not recommend this place. Awful abilities and awful haircuts. Avoid, avoid, avoid, unless you want our hair to look like it has been cut by a madman with a lawnmower. Very poor quality staff and haircuts. Update: As you can see the owner contacted me offering a refund and a free haircut. All I'd actually like is hair that doesn't look goddam awful. I'm not bothered about money and as for the free haircut, I wouldn't let anyone in that place anywhere near my hair in the future. Almost seven weeks on and my hair is much less than half the length it is meant to be, and is all growing out at different lengths due to how badly it was cut. It's going to take months and months for my hair to grow back to a stage where it can be corrected from the awful work done in this establishment. Not bothered about your refund - I note compensation was not offered - not that I want it or would accept it - but it might have been nice to have been offered this. And the offer of a free haircut - just laughable to the point of being painful. Also, the comment of we 'have an amazing team', just negates my complaint - you clearly don't have an 'amazing team' and one of your 'team' cut my hair in the worst manner that it has ever been cut - maybe some acceptance of the fact that some of your team are awful at their job might have been more appropriate. It's a good job I have good self-esteem as if not I'd be too embarrassed to go out in public with the state of my hair as left by the woman who cut it at this place. Honestly, no apologies, or offers of refund or free haircuts, will take away from what their member of staff did to my hair. My hair is still a mess almost seven weeks on. I really would recommend that you give this place a wide birth. Worst place I have ever had my hair cut in my life.
