Brilliant place, great area for a BBQ or picnic. It was super hot that day took kids out for a walk in nature and ended up at Howsham mill, they loved it. It's really clean and well maintained.
Levels of water for paddling vary. Go as a group with someone experienced, and it's good for fitness and skills training.
Lovely, quaint historical place. Was great to go for a walk around and check out the place.
The conservation of the mill is excellent along with the power generation via the Archimedes screws. The area around the mill has some stunning walks and views. It's free!
