Ropemaking in progress to watch almost all the time and always on request. See how the twist is put in! Rope making by the traditional process, various twines, church bell ropes, dog leads, barrier ropes and more, including braid-making machines. Pre-booked school visits welcome and special talks by appointment.

Wheelchair accessible. Video showing Mon-Fri. We are located beside a public car park and adjacent to Information Centre. Children's playground and toilets nearby in an interesting small dales market town, where Wensleydale cheese is made.
