Went for breakfast to Brewed Cafe this morning. The cafe is lovely and cosy. Located by the Kingsgate shopping centre and easy walking distance within the town centre. The breakfast was delicious and the server was lovely. The drinks did arrive first but the food followed shortly behind and my chai latte was still warm at the end of it. Highly recommend for couples or a girlie or ladz catchup. They have a range of foods and drinks on the menu but to do it justice don't arrive too early :). The decor and aesthetics are very social media friendly.

Amazing Experience, the best Cafe up North by Far, Customer service is amazing! The food was amazing! One of the best Coffees I’ve had, with high quality Coffee Beans! English Breakfast & Parmo were 10/10, always consistent whenever I go!

I went here today with my sister as she had raved about the food. The owner was friendly and kind. Clean and modern appearance. We got a tuna melt panini and chicken pasta bake along with some drinks. It took a little while for it to come out due to the pasta needing to be cooked, but the owner let us know. After tasting it, I wasn't bothered about the wait, it was absolutely delicious. You could just tell it was made fresh. The panini was excellent. It came with garlic mayo which was yummy! Had this with chips which were also cooked perfectly. I'm definitely going to be back as there is so much more I want to try on the menu. Would recommend 100%, I personally believe the low reviews are exaggerating and being petty!

Went for the third time and left disappointed. I ordered a white chocolate matcha and American pancakes and the matcha was clearly watery — anyone who drinks matcha can see that. I told the girl at the counter, and she dismissed it, saying it’s their “best seller” and no one’s ever complained. Fine, but I’ve never had one this bad. She then said their policy is no refunds or replacements as I asked if I could change it to karak chai. I didnt argue this and just asked for a water. Then the girl bringing the pancakes came over and rudely asked what was going on. I explained I didn’t like the matcha. She started lecturing me that “not every matcha is the same,” which I never disagreed with. I said this one was watery and unlike any I’ve had. She asked where I usually get matcha, I told her, and she replied that “everyone has their own preference’ in a rude tone. There was no confrontation until she created one. I didn’t argue about their policy, so her attitude was unnecessary. The pancakes were freezing, but because of how they acted about the matcha, I didn’t bother mentioning it. My mum later passed the girls on the way to the toilet, they asked how the food was, and she told them the pancakes were cold. The same rude girl came back to our table saying my mum mentioned it. I confirmed they were cold, and she immediately got defensive again, insisting they were fresh AGAIN I DIDNT SAY THEY WERENT I SAID THEY WERE FREEZING WHICH THEY WERE! She asked if she should “call the chef out,” which was ridiculous. At this point her attitude was bang out of order and, she got attitude back. She even stood in front of other customers arguing about how “fresh” the pancakes were. Then the chef came out and admitted she made them 15–20 minutes earlier and kept them in a pot. I asked if it was reasonable that they were cold given that they’ve been in a pot for that amount of time and they were steaming hot last time . The chef understood completely and agreed why I would find them cold especially considering last time they were fresh off the pan. Meanwhile, the “manager” kept repeating they were fresh and then played victim, saying she wasn’t rude when she started the confrontation. she approached my table to try and argue with me about food I ate, and the chef herself corrected her. The chef was lovely and explained they were closing soon and the last batch had already been made — which is all that needed to be said. It’s a shame because the food has been good before, and that’s why this was my third visit. The manager needs to learn basic customer service because I have no idea how someone with that attitude is in charge. I wouldn’t have said anything if she hadn’t come over being rude. I’m not confrontational, but if someone gives attitude, they’ll get it back. I’d give the place another try since the food issue was probably due to closing time as every other time I have been it has been 10/10 but they seriously need better staff.
