Attempted to speak to someone to help me pay a bill using my credit card. But did not get to speak to a person. No help at all.
Where do I start absolute shocking service by the floor staff zero customer service skills I went to the branch on Saturday 11th January 2025 at 12:15pm with my little brother who has an account with NatWest the reason we went to the branch was to clear his overdraft as NatWest kept sending him letters he went with his passport and driving licence when we told the staff member why we had come in she said has he got his bank card or sort code and account number he didn’t as he has lost his card so didn’t have it we went through his emails and managed to find his customer id number and we told her he had emails and all his identification on him she said sorry we can’t do anything without a bank card I explained to her calmly look we don’t have his card as he lost it and she said sorry we can’t do anything also said our computer desks are closed on Saturday what an absolute joke we have work Monday to Friday during the day and Saturday is the only day we could have come in what a joke why open if your desks are all closed so we left the branch very very uncomfortable and unwanted absolute joke honestly the staff were just sat there laughing and talking to each other rather than helping NatWest customer we then went from there and contacted NatWest online support who were very very friendly and nice who helped us get the sort code and account number after we had passed level 1 security I also told the adviser in the phone what had happened and was told this is a lie and the staff in the branch are able to do this if correct identification was shown so clearly Huddersfield staff members are absolutely taking the liberty and getting payed to giggle with other colleagues!
Whilst visiting family in Huddersfield i visited your branch it was awful. The branch is all machines which I did not want to use. I found one teller when free then told me she was cash only so I banked cash then was told I had to book a time to pay a Bacs at another desk. It was so annoying . If they had the staff that were wandering around 'advising' on a till all the customers would have been served and away much quicker. I do not have this problem at my local branch as we still have human beings to talk to and to be served by.
Went into branch did application on the phone went thorough fine no problem was informed to make application form quicker go into branch with identification so I did with more than enough I.D told to wait which I did an hour colleague called Helen look at my bank statement and saw the high balance and said because I wasn't switching she couldn't open the account and take my identification logged a complaint and confirmed you can have as many current accounts as you want. Colleagues absolutely useless.
I've been to this branch 3 times in total. The first time I was served by a young lady who was very pleasant. The next time I was served by a blonde hair lady, presumably the same one someone else in this thread commented on. She continued to talk to her colleagues and spoke to me like I was out of order for distracting her from her conversation which she carried on with throughout the process. The final time I had the same issue with another woman. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Never before have I felt like I didn't matter to a company quite like this. The sad thing is its my bank so it's not as easy as just leaving.
