Removes all tills and pushes customers to use the self service which is fine. but you have no staff covering these tills so when things go wrong (which they very often do) customers are left waiting for at least 5 minutes, looking around helplessly for someone to come and assist. They have one manned till which is only reserved for click and collects, if you try to use it you will get told to go to the other self serve tills. Not ideal when the majority of the huddersfield customer base is elderly. Absolutely horrendous service honestly, no idea what they was thinking ripping out the tills and pushing self serve. don’t think i’ll be back any time soon i’ll take my buisness to another company.

I recently visited the Boots in Huddersfield town centre and found it to be a convenient stop for health, beauty, and pharmacy needs. The store has a good range of products including cosmetics, skincare, pharmacy services, and seasonal items, which makes it easy to pick up essentials on the go. The staff I encountered were generally friendly and helpful when I needed assistance. The pharmacy counter was useful, though at busy times there can be a bit of a wait, so plan accordingly. The layout over two floors means there’s plenty to browse, but it can feel a little cramped during peak hours. Overall, it’s a handy town centre location with decent stock and service, though some parts of the store could benefit from a refresh.

I cannot recommend Boots as a general online retailer. Their range of beauty products is very limited. Their online search and filter function is very clumsy. Once you make an order, you cannot amend it and it takes a long time to arrive. In this day and age, it's really falling behind. Despite this, they've ineffectively automated their customer service with AI, which is beyond inefficient. It's very tiresome to try and contact their customer service, with un-useful and irrelevant AI support, and a phone line with so many options and hurdles to get through to anyone in person, it's such a headache. Shame as I'd like to support them but reality is they aren't catching up with consumer demands and expectations.

Went in close to closing time and was treat awfully, being told to hurry up and then was told the wrong door to exit through as they closed the others, then was treat like I was stupid for asking where to exit. I only wanted one thing, took me at most 2 minutes to shop and purchase it.
