Huddersfield Shorehead Argos (Inside Sainsbury's)

Bought a chair. The dude who helped speed up the process and great. Thank you. I had to bring it back as it had damage. I was just going to return it as I didn't want to wait. I went with an upgrade instead as the lady who was helping was very friendly and fast. I want to reach out the their manager too as I was honestly impressed and happy

I had an extremely negative experience at Sainsbury's Shorehead Argos, and it's not the first time this has happened to me. I bought an item for a Christmas gift, and 2 weeks later they dropped the price by 20%. I took my item back for a return and I intended to buy the exact same item for the lower price. I wasn't expecting a problem cos I had only opened it to verify that it worked, because it was an electrical item, and then immediately resealed it. The staff member did everything but examine the item with a microscope and finally found a finger mark. Straight away I could tell I wasn't going to get a refund, so I asked if I could just buy the exact same item and that way nobody else would be buying my return. I just asked if they would refund my payment and let me take away the item I had brought back at the lower price. They must train all their staff to find any reason they can to refuse a return or something. Its all smiles when you're buying something and then you start getting weird looks if from the staff if you wanna return something. I contacted their customer service number but they told me they couldn't help me because I had collected from a store rather than having it delivered. Their price drop policy is outrageous. They tell you all you can do is take your item back for a return and then to buy again at the lower price. Why can't they just refund the difference and keep their customers happy? Nah they tell you to go to the store because they know there's an excellent chance that your return will be refused. I feel sorry for their counter staff instore who have to deal with the customers frustrations when their return is refused. As I said at the beginning of this review, this isn't the first time that this has happened to me, but it will be the last. I will never shop with Argos again. And I'm actually surprised they're still in business based on all the negative 1 star reviews they have. I genuinely hope the greedy bar stewards go out of business!

I would just love to say that the staff were brilliant in helping me choose a Christmas gift for my brother. I believe there was a member of staff called William that was kind enough to give me multiple ideas and even help me pick out some gifts based on what i described to him. Every time i go to this store I always have a great experience and would 100% come back!

Awful customer service in Argos! The staff is very rude. I came to return a set of knives, as they very more chef knives, than standard knives, so were too sharp for my level of experience. It was said online I could return them. The staff at the store told me I can't, but were very rude about it. Talking to me in condescending tone saying they are supposed to be sharp. I am not stupid, I know knives supposed to be sharp. However, there is a difference between sharp and chef knives sharp. Then I was talking to the manager, as an agent online advised me to speak to the store representative, and she was as rude as the girl I spoke to first. And all the staff followed her and was there surrounding her like it was a show. Just plainly rude and disrespectful! My advise to everyone, if you need to go to Argos, go to a different store. I wish I read the reviews online before visiting.

I needed to check for directions to pick up my switch and then I read the reviews before heading down and I almost had a panic attack. Thankfully the staffs I met all of them were very polite and helpful.
