Hudswell Woods, just outside of Richmond. Woods next to the River Swale. Parking on hard surface for plenty of cars, with toilets. Parking was £1.50 for 1 hour, make sure you do pay enough as the car park is regularly visited by parking enforcement. Plenty of walks around the woods and along the river, suitable for all, although unsuitable for wheelchair or pushchair as there are steps. Map needed if you don't know the routes around the woods
Some great walking along the river around here with great views and lots of history.
Some call it the Witch's Wood and I can see why. Ancient woodland that's definitely haunted. 5/5
