Recently had a colour & cut and blow dry with Eleanor. I absolutely love both my colour and cut, she really listened to what I wanted and made sure that I got exactly that. She was really lovely and made me feel completely at ease. Can’t wait for my next appointment!
Please don’t use this salon, I spent a fortune on my hair to have it look like this. The colour was mismatched orange and the extensions were poorly fitted which they did offer to fix twice at no charge however they kept coming out a couple of days later. I then got this message after I asked if they could fix it properly. See attached image of the message I got, they was no offer to fix it or to reimburst some of the cost at least.
Thank you, Eleanor, for staying super late on Thursday to accommodate me. As usual, I absolutely love my hair, the colour is amazing, and the cut has given it an incredible bounce! I also love the whole experience in the salon, the team are so warm and chatty. It genuinely feels like you're with friends. You're like my personal therapist lol. I know you've just gone self-employed and how much client satisfaction means to you—and it really shows. You're a talented, kind, and attentive stylist—don't let anyone tell you differently!
I had one of the worst hairdressing experiences with Eleanor I’ve ever had. From the moment I sat down, it felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying client. I assume I was her last appointment because she looked miserable, completely uninterested, and barely gave me a second to properly explain what I wanted. After slapping the foils in my hair and having it washed whilst having to listen another stylist talking about how bladdered they got at Christmas, then came the cut. The entire cut took about five minutes which is honestly shocking. There was zero attention to detail- the front pieces framing my face weren’t even the same length, and I had to physically hold them up and point it out myself because she clearly hadn’t noticed (or cared). Once she was “done,” she didn’t even show me the back, didn’t ask if I was happy, and literally walked off after I paid before I’d even had time to put my coat on. No consultation, no care, no professionalism. It was rushed, dismissive, and completely unacceptable for the price. For £150, I expected skill, effort, and basic courtesy- not to feel like I was being shoved out the door. I won’t be going back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality cut or a decent experience. Update: After I posted this review, three new 5-star reviews appeared within a short period of time. Prior to this, the stylist had not received reviews for some time. My experience remains as described above. Update 2 in response to Eleanor: Hi Eleanor, Thank you for your response. I appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed reply. However, my review reflects my experience as it happened, not a debate about technicalities. From my perspective: • I felt rushed and dismissed throughout the appointment and was not given a second to properly elaborate on what I wanted before you hurried off to make up the colour. • I asked whether it was wise to have a full head of colour again, and I was the one raising concerns about the process. • The pieces framing my face were uneven, and I had to physically hold them up and point it out myself because it wasn’t addressed otherwise. • I noticed you did not go to another client at the end of the day as suggested — I observed you leaving out the back — which contributed to my feeling like an inconvenience. • Overall, the entire appointment felt rushed and dismissive, with very little attention to detail and no genuine consultation in the moment. For £150 I expect a better service. While I understand you may have perceived the situation differently, my experience was as described in my review. My intention in leaving the review was to share what I experienced, not to undermine your skill or dedication, but to provide honest feedback for future clients. I hope this clarifies that my comments reflect my personal experience rather than an attack on your work. Best regards, Lauren
I got my hair cut here and coloured here back in June whilst back in Bradford and I absolutely it. It was definitely a good hairday. I went from black to blonde and I was a little nervous as most places (other than my long term hairdresser gey it wrong). Ellie took and hair sample and managed my expectations about how the colour would come out. I was super delighted with the results and I really didn't want to wash it out. I've got my haircut again and my normal hairdresser says she really loved it too and asked me if I was definitely sure I wanted to go back to short. She knows I love to change my hair though. I was just talking about it today and was showing someone pictures and they said they really liked it too. Ellie is relatively junior within the team but don't let this fool you. Like i said to her in person, i'm suere if she sticks to hairdresser she has it in her to go really far. The amount of times hairdressers have got colouring my hair wrong is more often than not. She knows exactly what she is doing and after today's discussion, I felt a review was warranted. Aveda was recommended to me by a person of colour because of how it lifts and I have to say I was really impressed. It didn't really damage my hair too much either. The tone lasted a lot longer than Ellie predicted and even then, I still liked the colour. It never really went too brassy other than before my next haircut. So like 2 5/3 months. I would definitely recommend this salon. If you're a down to earth person and like down to earth service which is very excellent, I would totally recommend this place. The staff are lovely and they deserve nice customers. So if you think you're nice, go here. :) Aveda also support earth day and charity water donating regularly so I like to endorse them. The picture of my face is the day after Ellie coloured my hair and styles my hair. I woke up like that and still liked it. I'd forgotten I'd had my hair coloured and it made me smile. I was devastated when I had to wash it and style it myself. Thanks Ellie. Keep up the good work. 🙂
