Lovely concert. Welcoming. But ABSOLUTELY FREEZING.
Beautiful church
Was only here to park while walking on the Leeds & Liverpool canal towpath. There is a small car park next to the church which can be used by the public if it is not being used by church visitors. Unfortunately, the church was locked so we couldn't look round. The tower has eight bells cast in 1914 by John Taylor & Co of Loughborough. The tenor bell weighs 15-1-18 (783β―kg) and is tuned to F. It is a ground floor ring.
Set in a lovely setting, next to the canal,
Nice old style church. Great place to visit. Cafe was very nice. Re church's reply: I meant the tea and scones thing, not a full English style cafe. Although I didn't have a scone as they're not my thing. But the cup of tea was most welcome after following the canal from Saltaire. And the lady serving was polite and friendly. Great idea ππ
