Beck Hall

Where to start!! We were bought a 2 night stay here as a wedding present and have been SO excited to go. It surpassed all expectations! It truly was the best countryside stay we've ever done and really got us in the Christmas spirit, we will cherish those memories forever so thank you to the Beck Hall team for that. The food is unbeatable, to be able to pick anything from the menu is a luxury itself but to execute each and every dish to such a high standard is a huge triumph. I particularly enjoyed the suet chicken pudding and the Christmas sandwich. the whole menu is so well thought out I wouldn't change a thing. Linda was so warm and friendly and greeted us upon arrival making us feel so welcome. All the other staff were also brilliant and again made it feel so special. The rooms are lovely and cosy and clean and it's set in a beautiful village perfectly located for walking. We love what you're doing here and will recommend to all our family and friends. We certainly will be back in the summer months. Thank you so much

We had wanted to stay here for a while and had the pleasure of an extended weekend recently. We were not disappointed. It was wonderful and everything we'd hoped for. Our stay was for dinner, bed and breakfast and my plan was to work through everything. That didn't come off so I'll just have to come back for another visit! With a fully plant-based food and drinks menu it was such a gift not having ask for vegan friendly options. It was all delicious! I'm not a breakfast person usually but I couldn't resist. With the buffet including pastries and chia pudding along with the option of having a fully cooked breakfast and more, it's safe to say there's plenty of choice. We like to cook ourselves and are often disappointed when eating out. Compliments to the chefs because we thoroughly enjoyed everything that was served. We stayed in a classic room with twin beds. It was clean, comfortable with everything you'd expect in a hotel room. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawer storage to put our belongings. Now, Beck Hall is 'dog friendly' but it's actually more than that. Your dog is considered as much a guest as you are. Our boy revelled in the attention and I'm happy to say he was mostly quite relaxed for an anxious dog. This was thanks to the staff and the nice touches from offering mats to lay on and even giving a towel down after a walk (the dog, not me). The location is perfect. We walked the beautiful hills with limestone dry walls, took in the powerful energy of Janets Foss and got to finish each day at Beck Hall. We even managed to bagsy the chair in front of the fire on Sunday ♡ I can't close this review without giving a special mention to Martin. I'm not a very social person and just talking with and being around people can be overwhelming. Martin's calm, friendly, professional manner was just right and really meant a lot. I plan to return next year and can't wait.

First time visiting Beck Hall and cannot wait to go back. From the moment we checked in the staff were so welcoming and kind - our dog quickly took a liking to them all! The room was cosy and clean, and the bed was super comfy. We slept very well with only the sound of wildlife outside. The food was an absolute highlight, I especially recommend the breakfast pastries, blue corn tacos small plate, seitan shortrib, and the ice creams - just sensational. Would love to come back to try the Sunday roast, am sure it would be immense. The only improvement I could say is I wish the portions were a little smaller so I could have tried more of the dishes. The scenery nearby was so beautiful! Just a few minutes up the road was a very easy walk to Malham Cove where we took the dog each morning - some cows and sheep around but dogs are fine on leads. Also went a little further to Janet's Foss which was a peaceful little waterfall. We frequently bumped into other people also staying at the hotel and ended up having some lovely chats (so many of the guests are so friendly!). Would strongly recommend Beck Hall and especially the restaurant to absolutely anyone - we can't wait to come back! Thank you to all the staff who made us, our dog, and even the little rescue bird i ended up having to bring with me so very welcome and at home here :)

We're just back from a couple of days staying here & despite the best efforts of the weather we couldn't of had a better time. The food was amazing as were the rooms (large, clean & had local magazines to advise on attractions etc). Every single member of staff was helpful & personable. The location amazing too, short walks from amazing scenery, waterfalls & cliffs..

Beautiful charasmatic place. Food is delicious to say we do not normally eat vegan/veggie food. Do not underestimate the quality and flavours, it was so tastey! My partner is dairy free and has an other allergies too, Wayde was more than helpful with this. Loads of variety on the menu! Drinks were amazing too, lovely atmosphere. Thank you would love to come back!
