We had lunch in the bar on a wet Tuesday afternoon. Everything was on point: the initial online booking was very straightforward and we were warmly received by Claire when we arrived. Our meals were really superb with excellent ingredients cooked perfectly. Accompanying wine was also of a very high standard. Overall it was a memorable visit and we would highly recommend The Lister Arms.

Oh my goodness, there is not a single thing we would change about our stay at The Lister Arms. We came with family and friends to stay for our wedding and to have our meal/evening at the Inn. Ross, the captain of his ship should be extremely proud of his efforts and the efforts of his team. They were amazing and treated us like family. Smiles, happy tears, delicious food and comfy beds for us all. A huge thank you from Ian & Julie. X🎄x

We had an amazing stay at The Lister Arms in Malham! The room was cosy and comfortable with lovely exposed beams, and it was wonderfully quiet. The bed was super comfy and perfect for a great night’s sleep after a big walk. The shower was hot with excellent water pressure (very important to me!) and was absolutely perfect. The food was fantastic—the Yorkshire Burger with chorizo jam is an absolute must-try! We also had the fish and chips, beef short rib, steak pie, treacle tart, and sticky toffee pudding sundae, all of which were five-star. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, with a really tasty fry-up and a great selection on the continental side too. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home in true Yorkshire style. Not just dog-friendly, but dog-enthusiastic! It’s also perfectly located—you can make it part of a lovely two-hour loop walk taking in Malham Cove and Janet’s Foss. Can’t wait to stay again!

Been coming here for lunch for many years, usually 2 or 3 times per year. Our lunch was really nice. No complaints there BUT its a new menu and not vegetarian friendly at all. Toasted cheese sandwich was all there was on offer. Even the chips are cooked in dripping so aren't available to veggies. The fish and chips were also both cooked in dripping. Thankfully the chef was able to make us some fries. I don't think we'll be back sadly as a one meal choice isn't enough. A couple came and sat next to us but left after commenting on lack of veggies options and another couple were heard commenting on the veggie options. As I said, the toasties and fries we had were delicious but can't justify returning for just one meal choice.

Had a lovely 2 night stay in September. The room was very cosy and well stocked. There was a large bathroom with both a shower and bath, perfect after a long walk. The restaurant had launched their Autumn menu and this was delicious. I’d recommend the Short Beef Rib, which was fantastic. Very conveniently located for the circular walk to Malham Cove / Gorsdale Scar. Would definitely stay again.
