Technical Manager – Potato Storage & Sprout Control Location: Home-based / Yorkshire Office Reporting to: Head of Technical About Us We are an international agricultural technology company, helping potato, onion, and tomato growers across Europe and beyond improve crop performance, storage, and post-harvest quality. Our innovative solutions combine science, technology, and practical expertise to support growers and the wider fresh produce industry. The Role We're looking for a hands-on technical expert to lead our knowledge of potato storage, sprout control, and ethylene-based solutions. You'll provide advice, run trials, support product development, and act as a key technical resource for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. This is a hybrid role with UK and international travel, offering a mix of fieldwork, technical development, and strategic input. What You'll Do Provide expert guidance on potato storage, sprout control, and Restrain products Design, run, and document storage trials to support product performance and development Oversee external trial partners to ensure high-quality, accurate results Support product innovation with field insights and technical evaluation Identify new opportunities for Restrain technologies and applications Represent the company at industry events, open days, and customer meetings Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging technologies What We're Looking For Strong technical knowledge of potato storage, post-harvest physiology, or related agronomy fields Experience in trials, data analysis, and product development Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical issues clearly Commercially aware and able to work independently and collaboratively Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and internationally What We Offer Dynamic, innovative work environment Opportunity to lead technical excellence in a growing international business Travel and fieldwork opportunities across Europe Competitive salary with benefits
