Knaresborough Post Office

Arrives moments before parcel collection. Despite lady collecting parcels agreeing ti take mine today, I was still refused next day delivery but this was only mentioned after I had used and written on a parcel bag in the office. This meant I had to pay for packaging on a parcel I could not send. Staff member was aware of my intentions before I wrote on the packaging with his pen. Could have said before but chose not to

Post office closing hours are 5.30pm and I was there for 5.10pm, queued for 20 minutes, next in the line for the guy working there to say ‘I’m finishing now so can’t serve you’ even though he had seen how long myself and one other person had been stood there for? Either change your opening hours to 5pm closure to clear the queue to 5.30pm or serve the people who arrive before 5.30pm like any other company would do? Perhaps it might be worth telling your customers you can’t serve anyone after 5.3pm if that’s the policy instead of refusing to serve them after they’ve waited? Bound to wind people up! Terrible customer service!!! If I could put 0 star then I would.

Excellent service from Jane, explained all postal options for a large parcel... and have moved to a much more central location in Knaresborough (next to Tesco!) so don't panic when you can't find it like I did!

I had an important envelope to go out to my Spanish solicitor and wasn't sure of the options. The very pleasant lady on the counter, Jane, explained the differences and dealt with it all very quickly and efficiently. Great service with a smile and banter.

Possibly the most helpful and friendliest service I have received. Jayne is consistent in her personal approach and always has a smile for every customer. I was helped today filling out a form and despite there being a little of a queue, I was not hurried or made to feel a nuisance. Jayne was at hand to correct my mistakes and made the process much clearer and easier. Thank you
