Nice space with good selection of swings, slides and climbing equipment. Gets a little flooded in sections when it rains but I suppose most parks will.
Saville Park offers a welcome retreat for locals, providing a range of amenities and recreational opportunities to enjoy. One standout feature is the basketball court, a valuable addition that caters to sports enthusiasts looking to shoot some hoops close to home. Its presence adds vibrancy to the park and encourages active lifestyles among residents. The recently refurbished playground is another highlight, breathing new life into the park and enhancing its appeal for families and children. With modern equipment and improved safety features, it provides a safe and enjoyable space for youngsters to play and explore. Sports lovers will appreciate the presence of the cricket pitch, which serves as a hub for community games and events during the summer months. Watching local teams in action adds to the park's lively atmosphere and provides entertainment for visitors of all ages. For those seeking a leisurely stroll, the park offers a picturesque path that meanders through its greenery, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It's the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty at its finest. However, one downside to be aware of is the park's tendency to become marshy during periods of heavy rainfall. While this may not deter determined visitors, it's worth considering when planning a visit, especially if you prefer to avoid muddy conditions.
Good Park, love to walk dog here everyday, great view for sunset/rise
Great cricket pitch and is well looked after all the fans make an effort to show up to the games. The basketball court is looked after, but the football pitch across from the main park has had the football nets taken down sadly. The main park has many good slides and climbing frames and is suitable for ages 3 to 12. The bowls pitch os also looked after but the swimming baths across from the pitch has closed down and the field has not been cut for a while
Been here a few times with the kids and they always have a great time. There is a few different things for them to do so it keeps them happy aswel has plenty of space for football etc also it’s a nice place for a dog walks.
