Park View Cottage

Awful place. Cottage was dirty , furniture was not comfortable. Sat in hot tub one night but there was grit at the bottom, no evidence of anyone coming to check chemical levels everyday so decided not to risk getting ill and using it again. Court yard furniture was battered and run down. And don't go thinking you could use the bar b q As it had a inch of fat sitting at the bottom of it. Couldn't use any draws as they all had filth in them and the bedding was questionably clean. If I could have afforded to go and stay somewhere else I would have but this was our only holiday for the year so we had to stick it out. I have never stayed in a place i couldn't wait to leave before.

I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. We booked for a relaxing few days and lasted one night – and even that was pushing it. We left at first light, counting down the seconds until we could escape. From the moment we walked in, we were hit with a stench that was somewhere between mould, wet dog, and despair. The floors were sticky, the bedding was questionable (stains included, free of charge!), and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t seen a decent clean since the early 2000s. Dust everywhere. Cobwebs in every corner. Something unidentifiable in the fridge. I wouldn’t let a rat sleep in this place, let alone a paying guest. The photos online must be decades old or taken from another property entirely – nothing matched the listing. It was a masterclass in deception. If you value your sanity, your hygiene, or just the basic will to live, do yourself a favour and stay somewhere – anywhere – else. Disgusting.

Pretty disappointing. Cottage wasn't up to standards with cleanliness...far too many cobwebs and stained furnishings. The hot tub was ok but very little instructions and we ended up sitting in a clean cycle one night...ruined our swimwear and both came out in a rash. Remote location - the pub next door was terrible but we tried to eat there twice and both times she said she was too busy to take any more orders...at 7.30pm. Stayed with our dog but struggled to find many places nearby for morning/evening wees, very little grass areas nearby. We booked 7 nights and left after 6.

Perfect place to take your dog and snuggle up on the sofa. The place was lovely and clean, only comment is that its a little dark in the sitting room during the day. Robes provided for the hot tub as an added bonus! Great little "secret garden." Location is great for walks, Hackfall was our favourite. Has free parking too.

I stayed here with a couple of friends for a long weekend. We couldn't have asked for anymore, the cottage is beautifully finished, had everything you could need and more. The hot tub and BBQ area was perfect for unwinding after a busy few weeks! Thank you again, we will be back in the future!
