You will find the Granary Restaurant in a beautiful renovated barn that dates back to the 17th Century and has some truly wonderful features. The conversion marries perfectly the new and old. This is mirrored in our menu where old classics such as a traditional Steak & Ale Pie and Fish & Chips sit comfortably alongside some new and exciting favourites.

​The Granary Restaurant opens for breakfast and serves a wide selection of ‘Freshly Laid’ dishes made with eggs from our own free range chickens, including Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale.  Our ‘Gut Buster’ is our most popular breakfast; a full English with our own eggs and homemade sausages and tomatoes when in season.

Our locally renowned Classic Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm-5pm Mon-Sat. Your selection of finger sandwiches, delicate cakes and homemade scones arrive on a 3 tier stand for just £10.50 per person or upgrade to a Pearl Afternoon Tea which includes more savouries, or add a glass of Pimms or Prosecco.  Ask for a ‘Take Home’ box so you can enjoy some of those cakes at home that you couldn’t quite squeeze in.

We advise you book in advance.  A gluten free option is available, please request when you make your booking.

The barn is also the home to our Farm Shop and will catch your eye as soon as you walk in! Selling fresh meat, some of which is from our own cattle and lambs; fresh seasonal vegetables; again some of which we grow on the farm; a great selection of cheese and a decadent array of mouthwatering cakes.

The shop’s major focus is to champion small suppliers, many of them local and wherever possible ‘Made in Yorkshire’, providing our customers with the chance to support local food and artisan type products as well as some special giftware items that you won’t find on the high street.

The Garden Nursery is grateful to have been gifted a state of the art glasshouse filled with stunning displays of houseplants along with a large selection of seasonal bedding plants; most of which we grow ourselves, shrubs and trees in our outdoor sales area.

John the Manager is RHS qualified and has a wealth of gardening experience as has his assistant, Pip and they are more than willing to give you good advice on caring for your products along with general gardening tips!

We are also thrilled to have the Coffee Shop, which is open from 10am-4pm, serving hot drinks, soup, sandwiches, toasted tea cakes, homemade scones, a great selection of cakes, real fruit milkshakes and Yorkshire Dales ice cream. 

You can eat outside if the weather is fine; overlooking the sensory gardens and conservation valley, with nature trails, birds, wildlife where our native breed Longhorn cattle and Lleyn sheep make their home.
