My daughter and I went for lunch here today. I have coeliac disease and our waitress Donna was so good at explaining to me and helping me pick my food. The allergy booklet is great but the font is really small so its difficult to read. She was very understanding and really made me feel easy about ordering. So well done to her. The meal and service was beyond excellent. We got the bill and were horrified to see that a large coke is £5.95. This added almost £12.00 to our bill, half of 1 3 course set menu price. I can't believe that draft or cans could possibly warrant charging a person that much money in this economy. It did damper our lunching experience and shock us completely. We will think twice about dining there again, or drink water as that's free.
Last Friday, my friends and I dined at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great, especially since we could watch the chefs cooking, which added to the overall experience. After finishing our meal, a server cleared our table, and we continued chatting for about an hour to an hour and a half. Just as we were about to order some drinks, a staff member approached us and asked us to settle the bill and leave because they needed to combine our table with the one next to us to create a larger table. Although they apologized, the situation left a bad impression, especially since the restaurant was only about 70% full. We didn’t understand why our table had to be rearranged when there were still plenty of empty seats. What made this experience even more frustrating was that we had made a reservation, and the restaurant never mentioned a time limit for dining. If they had, we would have been more mindful. Since we had originally planned to order more drinks, being asked to leave felt quite disappointing. In the end, we decided not to stay any longer and just paid the bill. Overall, the food and ambiance were excellent, but the service could use some improvement. If the restaurant has a time limit for tables, they should communicate it clearly to avoid situations like this. Hopefully, this was just a problem with one particular staff member and not a reflection of the restaurant’s overall service policy.
I had a wonderful experience here, as always. The food is delicious. I had a very small appetite and ordered from the kids menu. The staff are really friendly, inviting and helpful. The restaurant is really clean, the bathroom is modern and clean, it is a lovely atmosphere. They have colouring for the kids and high chairs. They cater for disability access.
Came for a meal with family and friends to celebrate my daughter's graduation. Great atmospheric and the food was excellent. The restaurant was busy, but not full, and three people were staffing the tables, including two managers. Service was friendly, although not always efficient. One of the drinks for a member of our party was missed when all the other drinks came to the table. When they ordered an additional drink later, it had to be chased up again. When our mains came, everyone else was served while my pizza and garlic bread was left for several minutes at the kitchen servery while staff were attending to other tables, so our group has to start without me.
Service was great, lady called Anjali who was lovely. Found us a table with room for pushchair, chatted and was smiley and polite throughout the meal and very helpful. Food service was quick, all food fresh and hot. Very tasty. Did the 2 courses deal and was great value
