<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Senior Network Engineer – Cisco &amp; OT/Industrial Networks</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> [Leeds/Sheffield,UK] – Hybrid</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Company Overview:</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Network Engineer</strong> with strong expertise in <strong>Cisco technologies, SD-WAN, SD-Access, and industrial/OT networks</strong> to join our team and drive innovative projects for our client</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Role Overview:</strong></p> <p>As a Senior Network Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance networks across <strong>IT and OT environments</strong>. You will collaborate with engineering and operational teams to deploy Cisco SD-WAN, SD-Access, and automation solutions, ensuring robust connectivity and compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design, configure, and troubleshoot <strong>Cisco Catalyst switching (IOS-XE)</strong>, VLANs, STP/RSTP, port security, and QoS.</li><li>Implement and manage <strong>Cisco SD-WAN / Catalyst SD-WAN</strong>solutions, including policy templates, VPN segmentation, and WAN edge configuration.</li><li>Deploy and operate <strong>Cisco SD-Access (SDA) fabric</strong>, including design, commissioning, and lifecycle management.</li><li>Utilize <strong>Cisco Catalyst Centre</strong> for device management, monitoring, and automation workflows.</li><li>Support <strong>OT network architectures</strong>, including Purdue Model and IT/OT DMZ designs.</li><li>Work with industrial protocols: <strong>Modbus, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, IEC 61850, OPC-UA</strong>.</li><li>Write <strong>Terraform configurations</strong> for network provisioning and automate deployments using Python or Bash scripts.</li><li>Collaborate in <strong>CI/CD pipelines</strong> using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.</li><li>Administer <strong>Cisco ISE</strong> for AAA, profiling, and TrustSec policies.</li><li>Implement configuration management using <strong>Ansible</strong>, Terraform, and/or Cisco NSO.</li><li>Ensure adherence to industrial cybersecurity standards: <strong>IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NIS2</strong>.</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot network issues across <strong>Layers 2–7</strong> and SCADA/ICS environments (Ignition, Wonderware, Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell FactoryTalk).</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Cisco Catalyst switches, SD-WAN, SD-Access, and network automation</strong>.</li><li>Proven experience in <strong>industrial/OT network environments</strong> and familiarity with OT protocols.</li><li>Proficient in <strong>Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible</strong>, or other network automation tools.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>network security and compliance frameworks</strong> for industrial environments.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.</li><li>Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE) preferred.</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li>Opportunity to work on cutting-edge network infrastructure projects.</li><li>Exposure to <strong>hybrid IT/OT networks and industrial cybersecurity</strong>.</li><li>Collaborative and innovative work environment.</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Apply Now:</strong></p> <p>If you are passionate about <strong>network engineering, industrial environments, and automation</strong>, we want to hear from you.
