Howdens - Leeds

Used Howdens for many years. Always receive excellent service. They carry good stock levels and a great range of products at competitive prices

We have recently ordered a kitchen from Howdens. Our order was dealt with by Ben and Lisa. Both Ben and Lisa were professional from the outset. They met with us many times in order for us to get the right kitchen. Time was never an issue. Bens experience in this field was clear. He was able to give us advice when we were unsure of anything. We did not just go to Howdens. We met with 3 other kitchen companies. We made an informed decision. We decided that Howdens gave us the best service and the best price for a paint to order kitchen. Our decision was based on the quality of the kitchen and because of the service provided by Ben and Lisa. Thank you Ben and Lisa for being so helpful. We are looking forward to our new kitchen. I work on a large construction site in Leeds. We have had 10’s of thousands of pounds worth of material from Howdens joinery. Yet the Howdens name is being let down by the delivery firm they use. Daniel James haulage ltd. The lazy delivery drivers won’t lift a finger to help unload their own vans.

Went to this store because it was the closest to me where I was working this store is very small in the reception area, it was bitter cold in the reception area, they was no coffee offer, it reminded me of the change counter in a amusements arcade, when I got served I had to go over the road to pick up My stock which had been blocked off so we could not get the van near the loading areas,we had to load up cutting back over the road, I don't like the this store at all but the staff was very helpful just a pity how it works the stars are for the staff

Pretty poor post sales support. Bought a kitchen worth thousands of pounds from Howdens. A few years later I needed to rehang one of the cabinet doors. I needed a small plastic piece that the screws go into (a bit like a rawl plug) that came with the original cabinet (but you can't re use it). I asked if they had any of these spare, or if they could advise anything I can buy "off the shelf" that is equivalent. Unfortunately the person at the counter said "sorry these are just number on a screen to me". Too much effort to ask a colleague I suppose. I ended up sorting it out myself and crossing my fingers that it works.
