I can not praise this practice highly enough, my 91 year old father Kenneth has received the best of care over the last couple of years. The receptionists are always polite and have gone above and beyond to help me, when I have been worried about him. He has had home visits when needed. Thanks to excellent diagnostic care from a visiting Dr. He has now had a life saving heart valve replacement. Thankyou so very much .

I am extremely disappointed with the service at this GP practice. When I first rang for an appointment, I was told there were none available. The receptionist said a pharmacist would call me instead, but I waited all day in pain and no one ever did. When I chased this up with the receptionist, she was dismissive and not interested, simply telling me to call back the next day. When I did call back, I was told the earliest appointment available is not until September. I also applied online for a sick note, but was again told that I cannot be given one until I have seen a doctor ,which means waiting until September. This now leaves me unable to get paid from work until then. The way I was treated was uncaring and unprofessional. The receptionist showed no compassion for the fact I was in pain, and I strongly feel that my concerns were dismissed because of my ethnic name. I will be changing my GP. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.I would give zero stars if it was an option.

They closed ranks and became abusive to there family member defending by them and abused there position to isolate the patient saying no one can ring on there behalf calling this out they have lied on official documents the person has serious falls and there walking is limited to 2 mete walking . Yesterday, I went in to have my blood drawn—a process I’ve been navigating for decades. Each time, I try to convey to the staff that my situation makes finding a vein difficult. Yet, it feels as though my words vanish, just as I told the doctor before this appointment. When I saw the medical practitioner today, she couldn’t retrieve blood from either arm, and her response stung: "You are wasting our time." I was shocked by her words, especially the "YOU " part . It’s not my fault there’s a communication breakdown or that they don’t read my notes or maintain proper records of my previous experiences with blood draws. A wave of frustration washed over me. "I’m sorry," I replied, but looking back, I shouldn’t have to apologise. I continued, "It’s not my fault. I’ve communicated this to multiple doctors and undergone blood tests before." I found it infuriating to be met with the same reply four times: "You need to tell them." I felt like I was going in circles, repeating myself, even though I thought I had already informed the practice more than ten times. It seemed like the blame was constantly being shifted back to me. Isn’t there a protocol for reviewing patient histories? Shouldn’t she have consulted my records? This information, which I have repeated over the years, should be documented within their systems. It’s disheartening that the City View practice seems to fail at the fundamental task of sharing information, continually passing the blame to the patient instead of reflecting on their own shortcomings. The cycle of miscommunication is exhausting, and I long for a day when my experiences are understood rather than dismissed. I find myself trapped in a troubling pattern of blame that feels all too familiar. For example, while trying to secure a bus pass, I was directed to gather specific forms from Leeds city centre, only to be told later by the receptionist that I had the wrong materials. Frustratingly, when I pulled out my notes to show her the instructions she had provided, her demeanour shifted dramatically. Gone was the accusatory tone; she transformed into a helpful ally. Similarly, I submitted another bus pass form at the surgery, which cost me £80 to get signed. When it got rejected, I discovered that the information I had been relaying to the doctor for three years—about my painful walking due to an ongoing gallbladder issue—wasn’t even in the system. I complained to the reception, but hit a brick wall when I spoke to the doctor. Only then was the information added to my record. This clearly demonstrated a failure on their part regarding information gathering, costing me both time and money, while I endured pain while walking. In another instance, I encountered issues with the doctor's appointment sign-in system. After 30 minutes of uncertainty and frustration, I approached the receptionist to report the malfunction, only to be immediately blamed for not pushing the correct button. This pattern of being unjustly accused persisted for quite some time. Eventually, a more perceptive staff member emerged, and, after reviewing the system, acknowledged with surprise, "Oh, you did do it," followed by a meek apology from the receptionist. Such experiences have haunted me for years, creating an exhausting cycle of blame. It’s disheartening because, as someone grappling with mental health challenges, these incidents echo in my mind long after they occur. I often find myself replaying the events from hours earlier, grappling with the emotions they evoke—even at 4:00 a.m. However, I gather from experience that this review will be ignored, and the history of today and previous situations will once again be blamed on me instead of the practice. This is my last hope. MR M INGLEBY. I welcome any contact, particularly regarding the £80 I wasted on information that multiple doctors should have recorded but didn’t.
