I pay for extra security on my phone with EE. Recently I had concerns because I was receiving messages to say my phone was probably infected. I was told by a female member of staff, who I suspect might have been the manageress, that she had no idea what the issue might be and suggested I buy a new phone from EE. I sought advice later from my teenage grandson who resolved matter in minutes! Not a happy bunny.......would give minus score if it was possible. Will be renewing my contract with someone other than EE. I must just mention,in all fairness, excellent service from a young man in the Wakefield branch of EE on a previous occasion.... Future visits will be there and hope I am fortunate enough that he is in store!
I went into the EE shop with my Google Pixel, which was still within warranty. The battery had swollen and the back was starting to crack. The staff told me they couldn’t do anything and that I should go to Google directly. They even gave me a phone number for Google that wasn’t in service anymore. One member of staff even said, “just use the phone, it’s only a swollen battery.” When I asked if he’d take responsibility if something went wrong, he immediately backed down. Not exactly reassuring when you’re dealing with a dangerous fault! On top of that, they said I would need an "insurance number" from Google to get my phone repaired even though I bought the phone and SIM contract from EE, and it was still under warranty. They also claimed the repair would cost around £300! Thankfully, I contacted Google myself and it was straightforward: no charge for the repair or the option to get part of my money back. I then took the phone into iSmash in Trinity, and it was repaired within an hour at no cost. Very disappointed with the lack of help and misinformation from EE. I’ve now switched to Giffgaff and actually get signal in the city centre. EE really isn’t worth it.
Just had the worst customer experience! Went to this store on the Friday, after streams of paper work a system error meant I couldn't purchase my phone. As someone who has worked in retail in the past I was understanding ( after spending over an hour on the store) and decided to return on the Tuesday ( today). On arrival I was told it was an hour wait. but decided to wait to get my upgrade sorted. When I was finally seen, I was told I would still need to go through the paperwork as it was the only way to ensure the system error was rectified. During these checks the sales advisor went to check something. During his check he started talking to another customer and THEN started talking to a friend who had come in to visit him. He then started to show the customer his friends new perfume she had brought in. Frustrated I asked the manager if someone else could come to see me. With a smirk she said " well your contracts on collections so.." when I asked why no one had come to tell me this, she responded she had JUST told him, despite me watching the whole interaction. My contract was in collections because I was waiting to get this upgraded sorted and was literally one unpaid phone bill. This response was Literally her way to try and embarrass me in front of the store after being called out for their poor customer service. EE you need a whole new team for this store!! The sales advisor see it as a fun house, with them calling out to each other and being super unprofessional with their in house banter while customers wait. EE is also losing money because the long wait times means they are constantly turning customers away! Will be making a formal complaint! Couldn't pay me to walk back in that store!
I wish I could give 0 stars. I went in today to get a SIM-only contract, and the customer service was appalling. The girl named Ebony was extremely rude, with a bad attitude and awful customer service. I wanted to keep my existing phone number, but because she was rushing to go home, it wasn’t changed, and now I have to go back tomorrow unnecessarily. I also asked about AirPods, because I know they sell them, and she told me, “No, we don’t sell them,” which is false. EE, if you want to make money, fire people like this.
I hate going into this particular store as the staff are so rude and not welcoming and really bad body language. They don’t sort the stuff ur going in there for and come out none the wiser. If you don’t like dealing with customers then don’t work in hospitality. You can’t rate impolite, rude people that are supposed to be getting paid to go there and support the customers who comes in. If EE headquarters see this review you should really sack all the managers and the staff in that particular store and start building a new team. The current team of managers and staff working there are losing you customers and money as I’ve seen people get up and storm out a few times. Worst store ever!! Head office need to look at all these one star reviews and see how many people hate the staff there yourselves then sack them or the store will end up closing down due to having no customers anymore. Reviews show you this in black and white. You can’t rate dreadful service!!
