Ashley Cooke's Carpets & Flooring

We visited Ashley Cookes in Malton looking for new living room carpet. We wanted a good quality one to last and were very pleased with the whole service from start to finish. The quality and value for money is excellent and a huge selection to choose from. We also bought a tv cabinet which we love and it fits perfectly with the room. Cant recommend them enough.

We ordered carpets from Ashley Cooke for the third time and as always I can truly recommend the shop and Staff members.Very friendly and professional service from both Ashley and Daisy at the shop. About fitting : Zak and Lewis fitted our carpet for us few weeks ago.I can't recommend them highly enough,both are very professional and friendly.The job was done very quickly and there was no mess left at all. THANK YOU!

Posted a reveiw about my problems with a pair of sofas l purchased about the seats being to hard and uncomfortable was promised replacement cushions but 6 months later was still waiting.Well less then 20 mins after posting my review Ashley got in touch with me.He was very unhappy about the service l had recieved he was very apoligetic about it and said he had staffing issues and did not know anything about my sofas.He promised my replacement cushions would be delivered the following Saturday.A man true to his word! They were delivered and fitted that Saturday excellent service.Very happy with my sofas now and quick efficient service once he realised the problem.

This is an honest Review of my experience using Ashely Cooke Carpet and Flooring and Home Furnishings (Curtains / Blinds), Malton, N. Yorkshire. Both Shops are well located in Malton, and well laid out with a comprehensive range of products in both shops. - also, fairly competitive prices. CARPETS & CURTAIN SHOP: Daisy (shop Manager / Owner's girlfriend - Carpets & Flooring Shop), was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on products. Communication 'so-so'. Problem solving, jury still out (see below). Delay with carpet / floor fitting due to Manufacturer issue / problem with carpets ordered -Fitting dates had to be changed. FITTERS (Carpets / LVT Flooring): Louie was very friendly, helpful and professional - good worker, who just 'got on with the job'. Professional, fast and efficient. PROBLEM FITTER: (Steve), NOT SO! - He was very objectional, obstructive, awkward and very unprofessional in his approach / work ethic - all he did was create undue stress / anxiety for me. Also, I had to pay extra money so fitters would move furniture, to fit carpets / flooring - which in my view should be part and parcel of a fitter's job. Especially, as I have severe sight loss and was limited in what I could do. I did feel the fitters fee was rather high - although, I did receive a small discount (which, by the way, had to be asked for). Above fitter issues raised with shop, owner, manager - unfortunately, owner (Ashley) seems tot avoid contact with customers, if or when there is a problem - this was left to the girlfriend/ shop manager (Daisy) to deal with. Unfortunately, but worryingly, owner/manager seemed to side with the objectional fitter (named above). It seemed his unprofessional behaviour was acceptable to them, but clearly, it's NOT for the customer. That said, the above issues were 'sort of' resolved eventually - but, should not have been presented to me in the first place! To be perfectly frank, but with respect, I would NOT use Ashley Cooke Carpet & Flooring Service again and would NOT recommend them either - which is a real shame. The Carpet and Flooring Service was spoilt primarily by the above issues. To end on a high: ASHLEY COOKE - HOME FURNISHINGS (CURTAINS / BLINDS) SHOP: In short, 5 STARS * * * * * Excellent Service. STAFF: Wendy and Gill - Shop Staff Impeccable! Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional on a good range of products (Curtains and blinds etc). Good communications Prices competitive. FITTER (Curtains / Blinds): Rob - excellent - very friendly, helpful and professional - fast and efficient Service. I would highly recommend Rob to anybody who want / need their curtains / blinds fitted. Rob's fee was reasonable for the work he did, which was nothing short of excellent. In conclusion, the overall Service was good - but, there is definitely, room for improvement with some aspects of the Business (as mentioned above). A BIG THANK YOU to Wendy, Gill and Rob at the Home Furnishings Shop for providing an excellent Service. We called into the shop in Malton a few weeks ago and the lovely lady very kindly pointed us in the direction of the Scarborough store (we didn't realise there was one so close to us), we called in and was kindly helped by the chap who gave us a few floor samples to take away, we returned them a day or so later to who just happened to be the fitter, I told him I'd arranged a measure which he said hadn't been booked into the diary which we found strange, anyway we arranged the date, I made it clear that he needed to call me around an hour in advance as we are in and out most of the time, we arranged the measure for the afternoon, we were in Scarborough on the day of the measure on the morning when I received a call from the fitter to say he was outside our house, ???? , I said we are in town and we will be back in about an hour, I asked why I wasn't called in advance and he said he'd had a few cancellations, why wasn't I called in advance???, when on the call I was trying to arrange a re- measure and the phone went dead ???, very rude, later in the day the chap from the shop called me and apologised and that the fitter had some cancellations so I said call me when and we'll re-arrange, he didn't so in our view there was a total breakdown in communication between the fitter and myself and I bring into question the rudeness in ending the call abruptly (by the way I did call back immediately with no reply) we are currently looking for a more professional company!!
