Best pharmacy I've visited, Really helped me out with tracing my meds from doctors/hospital/Boots chemist. I need to go regularly to a chemist for my medication. Weekly , sometimes twice a week, and i have always been greeted with a warm welcome, amd brilliant service, from the pharmacists, to the staff, Helpfull, patient, understanding and welcoming, . This Boots should be an example to other chemists. Oh and parking is not a problem. Wheelchair friendly.
The staff at my local Boots went above and beyond to help me. I needed some pain relief but the hadn’t got any capsules in. The rang the doctor to change it to tablet form. I’m so grateful they went that extra mile for me. I find the staff really helpful. They are my heroes for helping me.
The staff are always kind, polite and professional! They’ve also gone out their way for me today. A lady chased up my prescription as she knew it was urgent and noticed it hadn’t been sorted when it should have so off her own back chased it up and sorted it for me she was really empathetic with me too so feel she needs the recognition. Thank you so much
Had a very bad experience today at this pharmacy. I have extreme food allergies and intolerances to food additives, like E numbers, preservatives, colourings etc. I have informed the pharmacy of this, as I pick up a repeat prescription every month, and up until today, they have been very accommodating. I was given a repeat prescription yesterday, and upon returning home, found that one of my regular medications was a different brand. I had run out of the brand I usually have, so I had no option but to take it. I had a reaction when I took it, and felt under the weather all day at work the following day. So when I got home, I went to the pharmacy to see if they could help me out. The pharmacist, who I believe is called Rachel, was trying to suggest it was other things causing a reaction, and that it was a coincidence I didn’t feel too well taking a brand I had never had before. I knew this wasn’t the case, as I have very stringent methods in place, eat a very strict diet, and only take certain brands/colours of medication to avoid a reaction. She then said “this is getting ridiculous. We can’t keep on top of it”. I said I couldn’t help my sensitivities to additives, and I wish I wasn’t like that. Then she said she wished I wasn’t like that, in a horrible way. She made me feel humiliated, in front of a shop full of people and all the staff. Then, while I was waiting to see if they could help me, the same pharmacist just said ‘the tablet is in the box’, I said” oh is it?’. Then she just abruptly said “you can go”. Basically, ordering me out of the shop. I said thanks, and she just ignored me. She was very rude, and made me feel like I was being a nuisance. The last thing I want is to make anyone extra work, but that is the pharmacists job, to provide suitable medication to the public. I have always been extremely polite and personable with all the pharmacy staff, and before today, this had always been reciprocated. But todays experience was very hurtful, and I will be following up this review with a complaint to boots.
Some supply and demand issues and because of Covid, having to stand outside when there are 2 inside, when you're severely disabled and sometimes unable to stand minus a stick, is a major issue. Otherwise, a lot better than the previous one up at Well Pharmacy towards POW Road. Lovely staff too and mostly, I have been able to get my meds when I need them. A lot better service than most.
