Co-op Food - Manor Park

I’m a visitor to the area and stopped by this shop for some quick shopping. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Good selection of goodies. Good customer service

It’s 7:45 am and don’t think my day could get any worse. Walked in to the meal deal selection to appalling presentation and no variety of sandwich options, although the main problem I had was the lady behind the counter. I had a meal deal plan + a pastry and some chicken bites, when she started scanning the meals she made me pay in full without the meal deal excluded and refused to put my food in a bag. I could of saved £2 but instead dealt with a rude lady who was useless.

Not bad as it closes late and opens really early. Just carry your own shopping bag though... The bags they give you would rip in seconds.. The attendants really rush you as well

This customer to staff ratio is a little unbalanced. Whenever I go here, I end up waiting a good 15 minutes to pay as there are only ever two cashiers on duty. Sometimes it's not their fault, as some locals tend to natter and hold up the queue, but mostly it's due to poor staff utilisation. Additionally, prices are a little more expensive than some retailers, but this seems typical of all Co-ops. I'd suggest the company's buyers need to learn to negotiate with suppliers better!
