I have used Hall & Featherstone twice: Gas Safety Check New Toilet fitment Quality of work is good. Appointment and time keeping was also very good. First invoice was accurate Second invoice was a little inflated was, after some email exchanges the invoice was revised and a compromise agreed. Happy to recommend and would use again! Office staff very very welcoming and polite
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic service from Martin and the team at Hall & Featherstone! From start to finish, they were professional, helpful, and incredibly responsive. We had our LPG moved and a new radiator fitted — everything was done to a high standard, and the team were clean, respectful, and a pleasure to have around. Highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services. We’re already looking forward to working with them again on our upcoming bathroom project!
Posting this on behalf of my Mother who had Hall and Featherstone install oil central heating : The team were ahrd working, clean and friendly. The radiators look great and the finished job is very tidy. Looking forward to winter - I'll be cosy and warm. Thanks to all the staff involved. Jackie Hardcastle. From a son's point of view H&f have been excellent. They really looked after my mum and have gone the extra mile for an elderly lady. Would very much recommend.
Spot on! I've used these guys for a few years now, so after moving to a new house and experiencing issues with the central heating I gave them a call. Got an appointment within the week and then got a cancellation the next day. They came, identified the issues, advised, and repaired it within the day. Can't fault them 👍
First, I have to say that the lady in their office was always polite, efficient and helpful. Contact via email was easy and an appointment was made for "after 3pm" on the Friday afternoon. I still have the email. On the day, the engineer appeared slightly beforehand and appears to have decided that the boiler, rather than being repaired, should be condemned. He is, of course, allowed his no doubt educated opinion. However, rather than ring me and discuss options or indeed discuss actions with my adult daughter who was on site, he decided not only to disconnect the power (an excusable action if he felt he was ensuring safety) but also to remove the mid portion of the flue stack. The flue passed through the roof. The engineers unauthorized and ill considered actions lead to the stack seal being breached as the upper portion of the stack was now unsupported and canted over. This in turn lead to a large amount of water ingress when it rained. The water seeped into the floor, wood panelling and most worryingly into the fuse spur where power seems to have been cut off. A moment's thought would have shown removal of the stack to have been both unnecessary and ill advised. The power had been cut to the boiler and the pump didn't work anyway (this was the reason they were initially called), so why remove the mid portion of the stack? When l saw the missed call and called the engineer back I felt treated as an inconvenience and was told by him that "we knock off at three you know". That being the case, why was the appointment made for "after 3pm"? If the engineer had had anything like the interpersonal skills of the lovely office lady, the situation may have been retrievable. Sadly this was not the case. I have found an alternative provider to replace the boiler with one with a rear flue through the wall. Hopefully they will be better. Either way, I will not have these people back in the house. The owner may attempt to refute what I have said. This remains my experience of them. Once bitten, twice shy.
