We were lucky to be served by Cidney and Matt! Their cocktails were absolutely delicious and worth the price :)) , very profesional and kind, hope to see them again when I come back, keep it going! The location was really interesting especially being inside a Church.
Had a good time The selfie boot is awesome 👌 Nice drinks ad well, with lovely bouncers
OMFG this place was da bomb! Loved the funky disco vibe. Wish I could have stayed longer but had to go catch a train 😭
I’ve used the “food” instead of “drinks” as they don’t do food… Absolutely stunning venue. It’s a converted church and the little touches like the lit up bell tower etc are really cool. Cocktail menu is really cool too, hip-hop themed to tie in with the music and a great selection. All the staff are lovely! From the welcoming door staff, the bar tenders are friendly and know their stuff, floor staff are courteous and keep the place from looking scruffy. If you like RnB music then you’ll love this place. Saturday afternoons are a different animal though, expect live singers and lots of big party anthems (plus a lot of hen nights and birthdays)
On the 25th of July, I visited York for a friends birthday. And we were wanting to get inside Jalou. Bald midsized bouncer at the door denied me entry for the simple fact of being Gay. Along with some distasteful comments. Not a nice first impression.
