Due to the nature of the material, a pilot hole must be drilled first, to prevent the screw from shearing. Also, screws should be tightened by hand. Do not use a power screwdriver or drill. This product is not suitable for bathrooms or unheated/damp rooms. Cast Iron is a ferrous metal and is prone to rusting.
